My wife and I walked in to the store 7 minutes before closing, on a Saturday. (Our bad, We thought we had 1 hour and 7 minutes). The owner didn't rush us and was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the sneakers we tried on. We walked out with 3 pair of sneakers and we will definitely be going back for more

I had a wonderful experience, the owners son was kind enough to measure my feet and informed me I am a size 8, not a 9. So, that was fun. If only my waist measured out the same. Haha. Anyhow, he was patient and listened to my needs, he picked the perfect sneaker for me. I've since taken my mom to get her new shoes too. It's such a charming store, looks small but don't be fooled, they have it stocked with excellent products and everything you need. Shoes, clothes, socks, gel, sunglasses, inserts, headphones, the list goes on! Shop local, you won't be disappointed.

Chris is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He takes the time to work with you to find shoes that are right for you. This is by far the best spot in the area for athletic and walking shoes.

The only place I buy running shoes, period. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable about the products in the store and hasn't steered me wrong through close to 10 pairs purchased. No need to visit another store-I know I'll be well taken care of!

So when I walked into the store I was all prepared to buy a pair of shorts and sunglasses there was another woman in there and a man who was attending the store they look like he was in a rush I asked him a question and it kind of hurried me alone so I had a pair of shorts and a pair of sunglasses but values about $145 he said I'm sorry but I'm closing soon I said well I'm interested in these he said I'm sorry but I'm closing up can you come back tomorrow I should absolutely not so if interested in buying something and you walk in to restore about a quarter to fly Don't expect to be happy and walk out or something you want they were rude and I will not be going back true story can't lie

I have been to other running stores in the area but my chiropractor told me about Athletic Shoe Shop and a friend knows the owner at the Newtown location. I'm somewhat new to the running game but I told the associate my experiences at other stores and what shoes would be best for my feet etc. Everything I told the salesman, he respectfully didn't agree and he explained and showed me WHY I needed a certain type of shoe etc. I tried on about 4 pairs until I finally found one that I liked and that the associate was happy with. I will definitely go back here.

super super nice place. the guy that helped me was amazing. im a first time runner and he was so helpful with everything, talked me and my wife through what shoes would be best for me as a first timer runner and didn't try and sell me the most expensive shoes there cause i didn't know better. Love this place and will purchase all my running shoes here again.

My foot doctor sent me here to get orthotics and a specific sneaker because I had a tear and separation in my tendon. Glad she did. Chris took care of my needs. Very professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the orthotics he suggested as well as the type of sneaker. Definitely will continue to do business with them.
