I had the loveliest experience today at the downingtown location, have been coming here for 10+ years. All the staff were quick kind and helpful!

I had a fantastic experience there today with Jason. He helped me not only pick my glasses but found me the best way to save and just was a generally great person. He was honest about how they looked when I tried frames and steered me in in the right direction for my needs. This guy needs a promotion if he hasn't had one!

Used to come here for my glasses. Last year tried to get them here and when I wasn't sure about my insurance but just intended to pay out of pocket- they refused until I came back with insurance. I went back tonight for a glasses repair to get screamed at by a receptionist who didn't have time for us. Used to be a really useful store- now just scared to bother stepping in.

Every employee was nice and kind, the price of the eye exam, and two pair of glasses was cheaper than I thought it would be. I got a lot of extra stuff for my glasses this time.

My son went in to get his glasses today, supposedly telling us the glasses were ready and that he could pick them up. He goes to pick them up only to have to spend an hour and a half there with some lady who couldn’t put his lenses in, and sent him home without his broken glasses and the new ones. Nobody helped the worker, and a manager or someone in charge should have helped her put the lenses in because it is unacceptable that we were sent home with nothing, and he has work later and cannot see.

Very unhappy false advertising

Just spent over an hour in their store. I went in for my follow up contact appointment. Complete waste of time staff was not very helpful. They thought I was there for my original eye exam after telling almost every employee why I was there. Wasted my lunch break and didn't get my prescription

SEVERELY understaffed. The receptionist (Jess) is doing her absolute best but it is difficult to handle over 5 customers alone, not including also having to manage the nonstop ringing phone by herself. She deserves a raise. Came in to see if I could pick up contacts and was told I would need to wait or make an appointment. This location needs some help. Never saw these issues at the Quakertown location.

After being with the same eye Dr for over 18 years, I was very leary going to America's Best. It ended up being a great experience and I absolutely love Dr. Ellsworth! Highly recommend! Staff was so friendly and helpful.

I’ve always had a positive experience with this location. I dropped off 2 pair of glasses that were missing screws on the arms of frames and they fixed them free.

I will no longer be using the Downingtown PA facility. Customer service, eye doctor and follow up get one star. Years prior gave 5 stars. The eye doctor rushed me in and out in less than 3 minutes. Customer service individual sat in chair and complained about AC being cold. Got irritated because he wasn’t guided on insurance protocol and clearly my fault. Couldn’t be bothered to give any guidance on frames for new glasses. Spent $400 and still haven’t received my new glasses. Clearly majority of staff is overworked or unsatisfied with working at the Downingtown facility. I’ll be moving on

My vision insurance has been covering the routine vision exams (In Network) with $0 copay. Dilating the pupil had been performed each time for many common eye problems. America's Best, for some reason, has only promoted for its "convenient" and quick retinal imaging instead of thorough dilating diagnostics, and has "conveniently" charged for an additional $20 copay (the first time ever). Sure enough, the diagnostic discrepancy appears as compared to those consistent and stable prescriptions from the past years. My appointment was arranged on Friday, there was only one optician, an understaffed situation led to the much longer waiting than in any other Ophthalmologist's office.
