About a week before Thanksgiving I noticed a reduction in our mail delivery. It continues still. Several days pass no deliveries or pick up. My neighbors mailed got picked up yesterday but mine did not. It was 1 letter. I called out to Dover Post Office today and was told picking up of mail is a courtesy and not required. If I needed to mail something of importance I needed to bring it in myself.I understand they are short handed and it's not just the Dover area. My question is....since when does the postal service not pick up mail in a raised flag mailbox? The problem is now over a month old....who is coming up with a solution? Are there jobs to be filled? Someone higher up had to know there was going to be problem long before THIS.

I ship multiple times a week usually, and rarely run into issues. When I do, it's because a customer is wrong or misunderstands something or has the wrong address, and the postal workers at this location are nearly always courteous and kind. No complaints about the office, just some of the customers.

The mail lady here banged on my door several times. When I answered she yelled at the top of her lungs about a parcel locker. I reminded her this is a retirement community but she did not care and continued to rant loudly at me like I was a child. I asked her to please lower her voice and she got even more agitated. Who protects us from them when they want to act crazy???

If the postal service is going to offer package pick up service then your lazy mail people actually need to pick up the package as scheduled! Whomever has the driving mail route along the 1800 block of East Canal Road needs to do their job. This isn't the first time they've neglected to pick up packages. God forbid they actually have to get out of their vehicle!

They are very unfriendly to non Pennsylivans. All the do is sit behind a desk and read or they are on the computer. Not helpful at all. Also, the carriers don't abide by residents to hold mail

Overall a very nice post office. I've shipped out my art commissions here for over a year now (I ship on a weekly basis) and they never get damaged or lost going to my customers. Workers are friendly and get to the point with what you need, no wasting time. Only issue is that they will ignore the phones (I go in person anyways, but the one time I kept calling, I got no one for hours) and I get another women's mail in my PO Box. So, besides being nit picky on things that barley matter, they've been solid.

I have come twice now during their “Window open hours” and both times it’s closed and no one is here. Why do you have posted hours if your not going to be here. They also don’t answer the phone. That’s a waste of my and other peoples time when they have to come here.

I have never dealt with such a rude staff member as I have at the Dover Post Office. You cannot even ask a simple question without receiving attitude and no help, not to mention damaging the original copy of my P.O.A. letter. Whoever that man is that works behind the desk needs to find a job where he doesn't work with the public. As far as delivery i had to put in several online complaints due to the fact that no one answers the phone. The man that has been delivering our mail will leave packages in the rain, put our letter mail with the packages outside in the weather, shove smaller packages into the mailbox to the point it is hard to get them out and they are damaged. Lastly, I have been trying for 3 yrs now to have the previous homeowners mail stop coming to my address with no avail. My previous post office, Abbottstown, is way superior over Dover. Dover workers need to take some lessons!
