Soccer program. Please don't waste your money and time. Spend the first 25 minutes passing the ball with your own kid. Then spend 10 minutes stretching. The coach here needs to be a "coach". No sense of being in charge. Started the class with around 15-20 kids. Now 2 weeks before ending its down to 8. Someone has to be paying attention to these things because the "coach" is certainly not. I will say she is nice and polite but that's her weakness. Coach's are to push kids to there limits and guide them. I haven't seen her tell one kid how to kick the ball properly. Certainly won't be returning and I seriously hope this changes for the future of kids/parents who don't know any better. Also for anyone reading this that's not to late. Downtown york ymca has a amazing coach. Certainly something to consider even if it's a longer drive.

Gym was recently redone and is done well. Music needs to be hooked up again, and Ac needs adjusted a little lower. Great front end redesigned and employees always helpful.

A WARNING to potential employees. I worked at the Dover YMCA, and other Y's, for close to 10 years teaching tai chi, yoga and other fitness arts. As a single parent it fit my hectic schedule, but the pay was embarrassingly low, the accommodations poor, no benefits and I even had to provide my own yoga mats to the students. Due to personal and health reasons I had to step down from teaching and no-one even reached out to see how I was doing. This was after working there for close to a decade. A few years later I thought about teaching just for fun and I went in to see the manager (Karen). She greeted me with hostility, offered me the same teaching position I had years earlier with a substantial reduction in pay and wanted me to sign some sort of integrity agreement ( which I had no idea what it was supposed to be about). Needless to say, I refused it all. Perhaps there is different management, but I would proceed cautiously before accepting employment here.

Great community indoor soccer programs for kids age 4 to 10. Inclusive setting for kids if all levels and development. Very caring coaches.

Great staff and love the community involvement, but $40 a month for a regular adult is ludicrous. Any other gym facility is that half that cost and twice the size with much more equipment.

PRO...Nice fitness room equipment.Pleasant front desk staffCON...TV Fox News (high volume)very distracting.Never experienced this kind of inconsiderate behaviorin any other gym.Solution....YMCA should maintain more control of TV's. Perhaps selecting two generic programs with mute. Remove the remotes. Simple.
