Expects employees to bow down to customers and be overly subservient.
God forbid I stand up for myself. Not sure when self defense became "harassment", but here we are.
Glad I have moved out of the area and never have to see that place.
Between rude customers, sexist customers, low pay, no raise after a year, unrealistic sales expectations, and apparently not being allowed to stand up for myself, I'm glad I no longer work here.
One of my personal least favorite experiences here was when I was expected to help a lady who yelled "EXCUSE ME" across the store, rather than coming to the register and asking for help like a courteous, civilized human being. And I'm supposed to just grin and bear that?
Same with the customer who refused to give a phone number for a return and then wanted to backtalk me and accuse me of not knowing how to do my job. You think you know better than me? How about you get behind the register and get paid scraps to deal with incompetent and disrespectful human beings.
Everyone here needs a backbone. Customers can not and should not be enabled to step all over employees.
No wonder your turnover rate is so high.
I've moved on to bigger and better things. And now live an hour away. And I will never shop at an AutoZone again after being employed by the company for a year. No one deserves this stress and disrespect for less than $12/hr.

Auto Zone Dover is a great customer friendly place to shop. They have never led me astray. Great service and support. They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. Recently needed a battery replaced. I could have done it on my own, but I didn't have time. They quickly tested my battery, sold me a new one and installed it without argument to get me back on the road to meet my deadline. Thank you to the team at Dover for great service as always. I will keep coming back!!!

Don't deal here very dishonest store and employees. Grandson went to buy a water pump at this location. He used his debit card. They said the transaction didn't go through. In fact it did. When he called his bank they said it went through. He went back to the store and the employee heard his bank tell him the transaction went through on the banks end they still wouldn't give him his money back or the part. Autozone lost several Customers for this ignorance including myself and I'm retired Mechanic. Most of their stuff is junk anyway. I already won't use their ignition parts they don't hold up !!!

Zero stars should be an option. Store 4654 located at 3050 Carlisle Rd Dover PA. We went for a battery for my Dodge Charger, after five years the original Mopar one finally died. The Duralast battery they sold us lasted just over a year. When they tested the battery they said it had dead cells so, they replaced it. This second one lasted just over two years & So we went back to exchange this one and they told us the warranty had just expired, so we had to pay for a new one even though after they tested it they determined this battery was also bad. The new one we bought lasted exactly 37 days so, thinking it must be something with my car draining the batteries we finally took it to a Dodge dealership to have them run diagnostics on the car and then the battery. They tested the alternator for proper voltage & Amperage, & diode function to make sure it was not the car damaging the battery. Performed Parasitic draw test to verify that was not the reason for the battery discharge. The battery simply will not hold a charge. So needing to be able to drive my car for more than a month at a time without having to replace my battery; we had them install a Mopar battery that actually works. We took the Duralast back to the point of sale and asked for a refund since they sold us ANOTHER bad battery. They told us they could only exchange it because it had been installed in my car. Even after we showed the diagnostics proof that the battery was bad & they had sold us a bad product AGAIN they wouldn't refund the money. We asked for the manager & he refused to come to speak with us. He told the cashier to tell us to write the district manager's number down off of the sign hanging on the wall & call Josh. That employee & his associate just stood there laughing when I asked if they had a card with the name & number on it. He told me no, I had to get the necessary information from the sign on the wall. This company is selling faulty parts then refusing to refund the customers money. The customer service was insulting & they attempted to belittle us with their childish behavior. We will never be stepping foot in an AutoZone again. In the end paying dealership prices ended up being cheaper, the Mopar parts are reliable, the service members are respectful and actually have automotive knowledge. If you want reliable car parts beyond wiper blades or floormats shop elsewhere.
