Shady, Fee-laden, company. They used to be okay to work with, but they were bought out a couple years ago and outsourced their customer service and you can’t understand the person you’re talking to. With that change came “hidden” contract changes and increased fees which make it super expensive to stay with the company, or leave the company, for that matter. I’ve never had a more aggravating experience to buy gas for my fireplace. It shouldn’t be that difficult. We are actively trying to leave and again, it’s been extremely aggravating and their tank is still sitting in my yard 3 weeks later.

Ordered propane, driver showed up unannounced and then I received a text saying that they couldn't deliver the propane because there was a car in the driveway when the delivery instructions said deliver to the left side of the house (opposite side of the driveway) because the tank was on that side. Had to call to reschedule. Then a few days later, delivery came, driver got of of truck, walked to side of house and before I got out was back in the truck and left. Called customer service and was told a technician would be out the next week but didn't say why. Technician came with a new tank and put it at the worst place possible- halfway under and halfway outside my deck. Dug out dirt and just threw it in the flower bed for me to remove. AND, the old tank is still sitting under the deck for the past 2 or more months, they didn't take the old tank away. AND, there was a small amount of gas in the new tank and the technician said someone would be there in a day or two to fill the tank and the tank was nearly empty two weeks later when someone showed up to fill the tank. Luckily I didn't run out or i would have taken legal action. Another issue is that when you call their customer service, you difficulties understanding what they are saying and can't give you an answer because they have to contact the tech department but then no one gets back to you. If I would have known how this was going to be handled, I would have gone to another company.

I was told that I had 30 days to pay my bill, and it was taken out of my account within 24 hours, and here to find out you have a budget plan which I’m great full for, but nobody told me I found that out on my own, and I was told they will be out to fill my new tank after it was set up which was false I had to call in

The individual on the phone was rude and did not listen to my concerns about our billing issue. I was put on hold so he could ask a manager and came back to say nothing he could do. Made me feel that he thought I was making up a story. The overall experience with Amerigas from the initial call from us to a misleading statement about cost and services provided. Right down to my mot recent call has been terrible. And a good reason to not ever do business with your company. This is also the second survey I have completed with a similar message. The first survey I thought might trigger a customer service call. But clearly there is no one reading these

Well, good except I have contacted, called, and emailed for over a year in regards to why, after 26 years or so, are we still having to rent the tank?????? By now, we could have had it paid for and stop the rental of it each \\u0026 every year. Just ridiculous. Thank you. Dr. Cheryl Zaccagnini

Terrible customer service. Their truck didn't show up for an appointment. They have not returned several phone calls. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

I was very pleased with the concern America Gas had for my family and home when they discovered my outside tank was leaking. I had techs at my house multiple times in one day checking everything. The speed of delivery of my new tank was outstanding and the delivery tech even light the pilot on my gas fireplace logs. Quite pleased. Bob Heller

Where to begin…we are on a will call delivery for propane. I called when I noticed our tank about 22% or so on 12/16. We got scheduled for 12/18-12/26 delivery. On 12/23 we still had not received our delivery and our supply was down to around 8% due to the recent cold snap. I called the main office and local office lines. No one answered due to it being after business hours. I was instructed via the prompt that I could request and emergency service if I called the emergency number. I waited on hold for 90 plus minutes on the 23rd just to be disconnected automatically. Again on the 24th I tried the emergency line…again 90 plus minutes on hold and disconnected. That evening I brought our kerosene jet heater into the house and we lowered our HVAC unit to 55 degrees. Using the kerosene heater for bursts of heat to keep the house comfortable is how we sent our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. 8am Monday the 26th I called both local and emergency lines. Disconnected both times on both lines after 90 plus minutes on hold. Finally around 1pm our delivery showed up literally on the last day of our delivery window. Our system was down to less than 15 gallons of propane and had I not used our kerosene heater I would’ve been out of propane on Christmas Day. Then to add insult to injury my rate was $.30 a gallon higher than what I was quoted on the phone and signed up for. I called on the 27th and finally spoke with someone. They said they were deeply sorry for my issues, and they would correct my rate (which is the LEAST they could do) BUT to no avail my rate is still the same as it was at delivery; they still have not corrected my rate to this minute. The most disappointing part is that no matter what I did and how much time I spent on the phone attempting to just find out exactly when our delivery was because we were so low; it didn’t matter. The customer service team continues to disappoint at their ability to resolve a situation.

The worst costumer service I have ever experienced. I advise everyone to stay away from this company.

Customer service is AWFUL. Every call goes to an overseas call center. No local office access for questions about delivery. They delivered my gas refill after several requests and left the line unhooked. Why? I DO NOT KNOW. They left a note for me to call. Of course I can't talk to anyone who knows why or can fix it.Cancelling after this tank is empty and going with a different company. Avoid this company at ALL costs.

Terrible service, you talk to someone new every time and it takes weeks to get an appointment scheduled or get answers about your services. And, to top it off, last week they billed us for work that WE PERFORMED OURSELVES. They tried to charge us almost $2,000 for work that we did ourselves, before they came to inspect and fill our tank. I have never experienced this level of bad service from a utility company before. I usually do not write reviews, but if you are looking for a propane provider, save yourself the headache and use a different company. In response to your response, I emailed Amerigas at 11:25am on 11/1. Please check your email and respond. Thanks.

After the builder put in a buried tank with no mention of the rental fee I was tied to Amerigas prices for years. Since it was their tank they knew I couldn't get anyone else to fill it so apparently that put me in a high profit classification. I bought the tank from them and now have it filled for less than half what Amerigas was charging me. While going through the hassle of buying the tank (and it was a hassle. At least 6 phone calls, many ending with 'we'll get back in 24 hours' only for me to have to call back in 3 days and start from the beginning) I mentioned their propane price as one of the reasons. The girl reviewed my records and said "They are charging you a high rate, not sure why..."

We had a box on our tanks that was supposed to let them know when we needed fuel, but apparently it failed to work. We ran out of gas and called them for a fill-up. It was January & freezing cold! THREE WEEKS LATER, after calling many times...we finally gave up and called another company. They delivered new tanks & fuel with-in a few days. However, it's almost MAY and regardless of Multiple Calls to Amerigas, their tanks are still in my backyard. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
