I have no idea what the person here did that send out my package but it's currently sitting in a post office instead of being delivered to the actual address I put on the form.

Employee was so helpful! We dropped off 100 wedding invitations and he glanced at every single envelope to make sure everything looked ok. He was also very friendly and made the exciting moment even more special!

Went there because of the good review here. Very disappointing, the person at the office treated customer like prisoner, she was very lazy and had no patience. The attitude was rude. If you are not happy there, why not give the job opportunity to others who deserve the pay!

The nicest and most helpful counter staff of any post office. They make going to the post office an experience you look forward to doing. Bill should get an award as postal employee extraordinaire.

Technically Newtown Square, PO is slightly closer to me, but it takes me 10-15mins fighting my way down 252 to get there in stressy traffic, multiple lights, and horrid parking. The Devon PO is about 5mins, all residential roads, no traffic, a breeze. THIS is my bias in favor of this place. It totally beats the mayhem of 252 getting to Newtown Square or Paoli POs. Yes, the parking at Devon PO is something you have to initially figure out, but after you've done it twice it's very simple. It's a tight squeeze to pull into one of the front spaces, but there are several spots along the side of the building, and up toward the train station if absolutely necessary. I have never seen the spots in their immediate side lot all filled (even during peak holiday shipping times). This is a tiny PO spacewise, but they tend to the lines decently. Yes, sometimes I have waited a while, but this is NOTHING compared to nearby alternatives (Paoli, Newtown Square, Southeastern). Devon usually has two clerks running at once (their max available), and while not super fast, they work steadily and there is no unnecessary delay (which is not the case anywhere else I've mentioned). Hours are limited; early close, they offer more limited hours on weekends, and they are not open very early in the morning compared to other local POs. This is odd considering they are right next to a popular train station. They also close FREQUENTLY for random technical difficulties, and you trek all the way there to find a sign on the door "closed early" which is not fun. Still, annoyances and difficulties aside, this is a handy location that beats the hassles of alternatives enough to be the most worthwhile.

USPS is one of those institutions that I think really contributes to making the U.S. a great nation, certainly much more so than its for profit counterparts. Any country can have big business, but the functionality and charm of the postal service--an institution that exists not to make money, but solely to provide a service to the public--that is a something that I very much appreciate. I agree with another reviewer's comments about the staff. The USPS staff tend to be such genuinely kind folks. It's clear that they enjoy their jobs and getting to be a part of an institution that I hope will be around for a long time to come. Another great thing that I learned recently is that the USPS has programs to check in on the elderly as they make routine deliveries (called the Carrier Alert Program). It makes sense that they could provide this service since they pass by the places anyway, but it just made me thankful that this sort of program exists. Can you imagine FedEx autonomously implementing such a program? You would have to wring the neck of the CEO to get them to implement a service for the sole purpose of furthering the common good.

The people who work there are quite honestly the nicest, most down to earth people I have ever met. It's worth driving further just to send something from the Devon US Post Office.
