I love coming to this restaurant when visiting the area. Whether you are here for date night or meeting a girlfriend it has such a good vibe.Kid-friendliness: I would say it’s not really kid friendly especially for the dinner hour. There was also a table of teenage girls and it just seemed odd to have a small child there and teenagers. Maybe for brunch or lunch it would be fine.

What a beautiful place. Luckily it was a nice day out. The short rib and eggs were delicious. I’d definitely come back!

I have dined in both Terrain locations. It's nice to be able to have a cocktail at the Devon location. The drink was wonderful and their mushroom soup is one of the best I have eaten. The only criticism that I have is while I dined in the bar area a staff member was interviewing and it seemed loud and intrusive in such a nice atmosphere

Remembering why I rarely dine here. Came here to celebrate with friends. We had a very sour waiter who for no reason was very brusque, forgot our bread, barely remembered to fill our water, didn't talk to us or ask if we needed anything, wouldn't look us in the face, etc. It was a very "what do you want; here's your check and get out" kind of experience. My friends said their food was good, but I had shrimp and grits, and the grits were way over done. The bread was cold and nothing to write home about. Very unfortunate as I'm a big fan of the store.

Decided to give them a try again after they botched our order the first time we visited them over a year ago. This time we were sat at a table right as we walked into the dining room next to where the plates and silverware were located. So all night, not only did customers walk in and out to their seats we had servers walking to the cabinet where the plates and silverware were located. Thought we gave her a pretty good tip but I checked my credit card statement one month later and notice that the server decided to give herself an extra $10 in tip without my approval. Needless to say, we will not be back to this restaurant ever again!

Fantastic food, great service. BYOB. Only complaint is that half of the tables are empty and they still make you wait 2 hours for a walk in lunch on a Monday.

Nestled in the Devon suburb, Terrain Cafe attempts to marry the bounty of local produce, meats, and dairy with an ambiance that whispers of nature's serenity. According to their ethos, this greenhouse cafe is more than a dining destination; it's an environment crafted with meticulous care, aiming to blur the lines between the indoor and outdoor. Each visit promises a unique décor, inspiring a connection with the seasons and the local landscape. On the occasion of our wedding anniversary, we found ourselves enveloped in Terrain's deliberately designed space, where the rustic charm meets modern finesse. The promise of a dining experience that's both inspiring and unique was met with an ambiance that truly sets Terrain apart. Amidst this thoughtfully curated backdrop, our anticipation for a meal that mirrored the environment's vibrancy was palpable. The culinary journey, however, was akin to a stroll through a garden with both blooms and buds yet to open. The Baby Kale Salad stood out as a bloom in full splendor, a harmonious blend of roasted grapes, butternut squash, walnuts, and camembert cheese, dressed in a cider vinaigrette that was as refreshing as a crisp autumn morning. The Chocolate Terrarium dessert was another unexpected bloom, offering a playful yet profound exploration of textures and flavors that delighted the senses.Yet, amidst these highs were the buds that hadn't quite blossomed. The Brussels Sprouts and Atlantic Halibut, though promising in concept, were under-seasoned, failing to reach their full potential. The Seared Scallops, slightly over-cooked, left us yearning for the accompanying squash puree more than the scallops themselves.Service was as friendly as the environment was inviting, yet our special occasion went by without the acknowledgment we had hoped for, leaving our celebration feeling somewhat overlooked in this beautifully designed space.Terrain Cafe, with its commitment to local sourcing and its uniquely inspiring setting, holds the seeds of greatness. It's a place where the environment and the promise of seasonally changing menus create a backdrop for memorable dining. However, like any garden, it requires careful tending to ensure that every dish, like every bloom, reaches its full potential. For those drawn to the allure of dining within a space that captures the essence of the outdoors, Terrain offers a picturesque setting. Yet, for an experience where every dish consistently matches the environment's promise, there may still be room for growth. Here's to hoping Terrain's culinary offerings will flourish to fully complement the inspiring dining experience their unique environment intends to provide.

First time at Terrain and we'll definitely be back! The food was deliciously prepared, the drinks were refreshing and unique, the wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the desserts were fresh and yummy! Love the atmosphere and all of the "terrain" in the dining area and even the restrooms.

Always a good spot to go! Great food and server was very nice. I would give it 5 stars except they definitely do not read the notes you give when you make the reservation. That is so minor thought!

The mushroom soup was boring in taste. It could use a spice to make it interesting. The cheese platter, which has been good at past visits, was disappointing as the bread was too dry and the blackberries had a slight mold taste. I've dined at Terrain several times and this was the first that I was disappointed.

The food was freshly made and attractively served. My halibut was bland - needed a sauce or at least more olive oil and lemon with lots of salt and pepper. The small portion of chopped beets and fennel were tasty, and helped add flavor to the halibut. My husband's steak on spaghetti squash was very good but the veggies were a too oily. The apple crust cheesecake was very good, but very dense rather than creamy.

The service was not good at all. You could tell the restaurant was shortstaffed. Also, the dessert I had was the worst thing I've ever eaten. It was supposed to be some type of pastry then cake and it was so dry. It was just really disappointing as it was my friends birthday and that was the dessert that was chosen. It should immediately be taken off the menu. I know you can do better terrain.

There during brunch on a Sunday. Very loud. One out of two of us was delivered the wrong meal. Had to wait for correct one while other ate so theirs wouldn't get cold. Not our best visit.

We enjoyed a Valentine's Day lunch here. Blood orange cocktail was delicious and refreshing. Mushroom soup and warm bread-in-a-pot. I enjoyed the salad w beets and Burrata - should have asked for the dressing on the side, as it was a little much. My husband got the shrimp and grits, and wished they had more flavor. Grits were also not as creamy as he would have liked. As we left, the waitress gave us chocolate truffles to take home. Nice touch.
