I can't say enough good things about Watergap and the care they provide as well as the amenities. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and the natural soundings are peaceful and relaxing. The people are also wonderful and of course, Gracie is the BEST!

I came into Water Gap Wellness in a very difficult place. I battled my mental health symptoms while I was there with the support of staff at the inn and as well as the therapists. One of the staff in particular at the Inn did a phenomenal job gaining my trust and taking the time to get to know me. This trust I gained (despite my stubborn tendencies) allowed me to let her teach me to not only battle my symptoms independently but she also taught me social skills that I needed to work on and that I can carry with me now that I graduated from the program into the future. There was a feeling throughout my stay at Watergap that me and my peers were in this thing together as a community and it was a journey I won't forget. I have skills now that I can use to ward of my symptoms for the rest of my life and I won't forget the kind and friendly support that I got and I am grateful for it. The humor and activities the staff provided made things so much easier and the sense of protection and safety was epic.

This place has techs working there that need to be checked into the rehab! Severe alcohol and substance abuse issues as well as mental health problems. Do not send your loved ones here they will not be in good care.

No one wants to end up in a facility such as Water Gap. However, if you are struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse, this is THE place to go for compassionate care and a unique approach.. My life was unmanageable. I was slowly and painfully destroying myself and everyone around me. I couldn’t “show up” – for myself, my spouse, children or parents. I was stressed, struggling, flailing.30 days after intensive treatment at Water Gap Wellness, I have been transformed. Words can hardly describe the impact this place had on me. My first experience with Water Gap staff was a conversation with Hospital Liaison, Jeff F.. Jeff immediately put my mind at ease and made the admissions process flawless. He answered my questions over text at any time of day and made me feel comfortable and heard. Throughout my stay at Water Gap, Jeff checked in with me to make sure I was doing well. He personally handled any questions or concerns with patience, kindness and understanding. It was under the professional care and integrity of my experienced therapist, Lauryn S., that I started to put my life back together. Lauryn and all of the therapists at Water Gap are wonderful. Lauryn created a therapeutic environment that was compassionate, empathetic and safe. She offered insights into my experiences, advice on how to handle my issues and evidence-based treatment strategies. The groups offered at the treatment center are different from any other kind of therapies I’ve tried. Water Gap offers a holistic approach and addresses all factors that can impact recovery including underlying issues, past experiences, trauma, relationships, living environment, and family dynamics. The group sessions focus on topics such as Shame/Guilt, Trauma, the Faces of Anxiety, Women’s and Men’s Health, DBT, Spirituality and many more.So many facilities in the Metro NY area / Northeast focus primarily on Substance Abuse. Water Gap is a truly one of a kind gem that implores a Mental Health/Dual Diagnosis Approach to Healing. Managing Partners Joe and Ryan were frequently on site and further proved there is no other place like Water Gap. They have an open door policy and a genuine concern to help others. The ”Inn” is a country club / resort-like facility that offers a peaceful environment away from the daily triggers and stressors that can complicate the initial journey into recovery. The Psy Techs at The Inn helped me feel at home and were kind and approachable. Gianna, Megan and Christina were especially welcoming and friendly. There was always a fire going outside and trails to walk (much more to do in the warmer months but I was there in January). The Activity Director, Faith, coordinated activities to keep clients busy in the afternoon in such as acupuncture, massage, Bingo, Open Mike Night, Crafts and more. Chef John made sure delicious food was served throughout my stay.I am incredibly thankful I found Water Gap and am on my way to physical, mental and emotional recovery. My only complaint is that there isn’t another location closer to home that I can visit for aftercare. I hope they consider expanding!

The Inn is a wonderful place to relax and soak in the beauty. I don't play golf but I was able to hit golf balls, swim in the pool, take hikes on the Appalachian trail, learn yoga and meditate, and even try acupuncture. The people working at the Inn are great too. It's a great place to stay and I thoroughly recommend it. It's beautiful!

Terrible place! Do not send your loved ones there! They do not work with parents on your loved ones treatment plan, unable to see or visit, and care was been subpar based on my daughters feedback. Treatment is not geared towards mental health and staff do not engage family members with their loved ones, and in fact deny their stay or hang up on. Amenities aside, the ultimate goal is to stabilize.

A close friend spent several months at this mental health facility. There aren’t many decent ones out there, this place is positive. The therapy and groups are very good and the accommodations are favorable set on an old golf country with a mountain backdrop. Basically they act caring and professional. The room for improvement would be the food- I’m told it’s repetitive and not-the-best. All in all, they do their job, they care and they have helped my acquaintance. I would recommend.

The Water Gap Wellness Inn will always have a really special place in my heart. It provided everything possible to make my stay as comfortable as could be. Some of my favorite parts were the fire pit, the swimming pool, the luxurious rooms and bathrooms, and of course Gracie (the cutest dog ever!!) I highly recommend Water Gap Wellness and the Inn to anyone who is struggling and needs the best help possible. <3

The Inn is beautiful and the people who work there are so nice and supportive. There's so much to do between golf and athletics, artwork, or just relaxing in front of the camp fire. It's a one of a kind place that you'll never want to leave.

I am so thankful for Water Gap Wellness. First off, the Inn is beautiful and the staff is really awesome. They go out of their way every day for the guests. The food is amazing and they plan tons of fun activities for us like a Luau and Golfing and frisbee golf. It's also really gorgeous and peaceful in general. Thank you for everything you've helped me with and I feel for the first time like my life is finally on track

Was there November through February. Only conducted covid tests after the virus ran rampant through the inn which resulted in the Centers staff kicking people out with no discharge plan. Backdrop scenery is beautiful and a great place to recuperate mentally. It is a new facility and it acts like amateurs. When I was there they did not vet their staff enough. Techs with less than a year of sobriety. Also if this review is removed I will go into more detail about it. Scenery is beautiful.
