This company is a monopoly that bleeds its community dry because they have no other option to commute to NYC.

The bus ride itself was flawless. But the ticketing service leaves something to be desired.

More buses needed to be added and we need to get more for our money $50 each way to Stroudsburg is way to much you should be able to use that ticket for a few months after you buy it incase you are on vacation out sick from work it should not be restrictions on tickets if my husband is on vacation why can I not use his tickets they were paid for already and I can use them !!!! Or he us out sick with a weeks worth of tickets and they can not be transferred to me unfair !!!!

Martz really went above and beyond to make a poor situation better. My bus for my return trip didn’t show up, and I was able to call a representative to inquire; he didn’t have much information but told me they were working on it. Just being able to connect with a live person and not have a long wait time was reassuring. About 20 minutes after the bus was set to depart, it still didn’t show so I ended up making other travel plans. Later that day though, Martz called me directly to check in, which was so abnormally proactive for this type of service. On top of that, they offered to not only refund my ENTIRE trip (even though I had successfully taken the first trip going to my destination) but also provide a generous credit for future use. Outstanding customer service, and the most amazing part was that they were so proactive about it all and super responsive.

There's no other public transportation to take to NYC from Scranton or the Poconos. This company has the monopoly on service and they take advantage of it. Recently they went online to sell bus tickets with a mandatory reservation. The price jumped $10 and they now charge $4 for a processing fee. It's $64 from Scranton. If you want to change your reservation, you have to pay extra as well. Last time I rode, the seat belt didn't work, the charging station didn't work and the WiFi never works. For what you pay, this should not be.

I think it's horrible that Martz puts in the fine print , on their website , "under terms and conditions " that their buses are first come first serve. My family member was left behind and told there was no room on the bus. She had to wait an hour for another bus to come. What if it was the last bus of the day? Would someone to be stranded in an unfamiliar town. I don't find Martz to be a reputable , reliable company. Very bad business practice. Consider other ways to travel. Very disappointed

FCFS. Line up early during peak times. While u might buy a ticket for a specific scheduled ride, Martz does not observe a schedule. A ticket only gets you a ride when Martz can squeeze u onto a bus.
