I hired Fortech to rewire a doorbell that hasn't worked properly the entire time I've lived in my house (5+ years). I recently decided get it fixed because I got a doorbell camera. 2 other electricians couldn't figure out the problem and just said rewire it.
First of all Fortech was super responsive and gave me a reasonable quote over the phone before they came out. And they came out within like 2 business days of my initial inquiry. The guys that came out were very thorough and spent a long time working on the bell until they figured out the problem...& it didn't need to be rewired. Meanwhile I had received a $1200 quote from another company to rewire and ended up paying significantly less...and my doorbell works! I would definitely hire them again for future projects.

This is a no nonsense, professional business. I called Fortech Electricians and I received an immediate call back from the owner, Ramone, who did not waste time, answered my questions directly and honestly. On the day of the job, they arrived on time and did the rewiring work that I had requested, in my office and also installed some additional sockets. I hired Fortech to install recessed lighting in my home. I would say I had an overall good / overall positive experience with some small opportunities for improvement. Positives: Tom was very responsive via text and email - he was one of the first electricians to respond and had one of the most competitive offers. He gave me specific Amazon links and directions about purchasing a switch which helped me feel confident in his skillset and also in the products I was purchasing. In addition, he helped me solve a mystery about some other lights in my house (turns out I just couldn't find the switch). Room for improvement: On the first day we arranged for the job, Tom was late to arrive and we had to reschedule because it passed the time when I could be home. However, he worked to make it right and showed up on time at the next arranged time. He also waived the switch fee to compensate me for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. Other areas for improvement are that they could have cleaned up better after they left - there was still a lot of debris on the ground and I had to mop twice. And the switch was not completely flush with the wall (they did try to make it right and get it flush with the wall after I pointed it out but it's not perfect, I will have to have someone adjust it). Would I recommend? Yes, I would recommend Fortech. I was happy with their service and would hire them again for an electrical job at my primary home or rental properties.
