We had to put our furbaby to rest a while back and we were broken over it . Oscar was 14 yrs old. We thought of adopting but just weren't ready. We were always looking though. We eventually saw this beautiful Dog at the SPCA . When we inquired they told us she was set to be put down but then some how Blue Chip intervened and we made an appt to see her. She looked just like our Oscar !! She was abandoned and was in great need of a home. We fostered her for a few months and then decided to make her a member our our family. We LOVE her. Thank you Blue Chip for saving her life so she could become part of ours.

This place stole a family members service dog and refused to answer the phone, then finally got back to us saying we "abandoned" her and one of the employees adopted her. I hope this scam gets shut down.

0 Stars. I went to go volunteer hoping I could help all the doggies and kitties! Instead one of the volunteers let a dog bite me on purpose. They also all had bad attitudes and the living conditions of the animals is sub-par. No wonder they're short staffed!

People who need pets need to contact these people. Nice facility, wonderful volunteers. We have gotten three rabbits from there.

Great place they build for those angels. Thank you very much for doing that! They need the community support so, if you wish you can contact them and cooperate in any way you are able to. ❤️

Went to adopt an adorable pup from them today having already been approved to adopt this specific dog. Drove an hour there only to be told he was adopted out an hour before we got there. Terrible that they would do this to people. Be sure to make sure no one else already had applications approved before making the trip here.

My son had an appointment to see a dog 1 hour before they gave the dog to someone else. Never called him to let him know. They drove an hour and the dog was gone. Obviously they either new the people or didn't check to see if they were the right family going to adopt the dog . Will never deal with them. Not good

What a wonderful rescue shelter. All the workers and volunteers are great. A team dedicated to animals and finding good homes. Wish I could take all the dogs home!

With my experience, it's not a terrible place. However, we did adopt sibling senior cats and we're only told that they had health problems as we were adopting them, we were given no prior knowledge or instructions. We found out more health problems with them on a Facebook post on their page. We weren't told what was going on with them health wise. Also, when we first go there, we had no idea where to go. There was no one waiting, we were not told where to go, there was no sign of anyone being there. As this is our first time adopting from their shelter, we're a bit disappointed. I think they can do a little better, but we still had a decent experience for a farm/rescue shelter.

I have had much experience with Blue Chip over the last 7 years. I have adopted 3 wonderful dogs. I was always treated with respect and was shown gratitude for my donations. I have donated money and supplies over the years. I Have donated money in honor of a friends birthday, at his request. He as well as I received cards in appreciation. The times I have taken supplies I was told how much my gifts were appreciated. Marge and her caring staff have always been friendly and helpful to me. As an animal lover I think Blue Chip does a superb job helping so many needy animals find good forever homes. They carefully screen those who apply for adoption, to make sure it is a good fit for all and that animals are going to be well loved and taken care of. All animals are vetted ,wormed given needed shots and neutered . Potential adopters are made aware of the past lives of pets if known , told of on going illness and advised what conditions are best for the animals. All done to make safe happy forever adoptions for all involved. Blue Chip does an incredible job all around . I recommend them to everyone.

The few times I have had interactions with staff/volunteers from Blue Chip, I've encountered extreme rudess, negativity, and an apparent lack of concern for the animals in need. Most recently, I spent 2 minutes on the phone with someone, explaining that I needed advice on rescuing an injured cat so I could get him to a vet. I clearly stated that I was not looking to surrender the cat but was seeking some assistance with capture. I had to hang up because an emergency vet I had been trying to reach called on my other line. When I called Blue Chip back, I spent approximately 10-15 seconds explaining the situation before the woman loudly interrupted and blurted out, "so what do you want from us?! I'm kinda busy!" I replied, "nothing" and let her get back to her important work. Clearly, they have better things to do than to help a person who wants to save a cat in dire need.In case you think I'm exaggerating the amount of her time I "wasted," the first call lasted 2 minutes. The second call lasted exactly 27 seconds. I hope they are kinder to the animals they serve. Before donating to Blue Chip or annoying them with requests to help animals, look into the complaints against them. I truly wish I had listened to all of the negative feedback I had heard. From this point forward, they will not receive a penny from me, and that makes me sad for the animals who will come into their care. Animals deserve better.

I will never donate to this rescue again. They don't care and expect things to be given to them. I've also read many reviews on Google where people have trouble adopting from them since they seem to adopt out to the same individuals over and over again. They had a post on Facebook for Christmas Stocking donations. You could request to donate to a dog, cat, senior animal or rabbit. I chose a dog and a cat. You then email them and they immediately emailed me back with a very detailed list of what they wanted. They promise a photo of the animal with the donations. I made sure to get as many items as I could and spent well over $100. I packaged them nicely, wrote nice notes and then dropped them off. When I got there a volunteer said they were very busy inside with adoptions so she took my gifts and put them in the back of her SUV. I then emailed them with the time/date of my drop off because donars are then supposed to get pictures of the animals they donated to with the items. I got a response saying thanks for the items. After that I got nothing. I thought them sending pics of the animals would also help find them homes and I was looking forward to seeing the dog and cat I donated to. I only adopt and never buy animals so who knows if I would have felt a connection. I emailed them 3 more times. Emails to their Christmas Stocking email as well as their main email. They never responded. Talk about rude. They got what they wanted and that was that. Did the volunteer steal everything I dropped off? Who knows what they take home with them. I've since had many new food items to donate and they go to two other local rescues (one is a cat only rescue and the other is dog, cats, rabbits) because they actually care and are appreciative. I make sure to let others know whenever talk of an animal rescue comes up not to donate to Blue Chip. When I know people with something to donate, we personally take it elsewhere for them.
