Stone parking lot with ample parking space. Nice pavilion for shade and portapots. It’s a good place to begin the trail with about 13 miles total and a nice loop at the end to turn around.

Trail is 9.2 miles...not too much to see..mostly just paved road. Some ruins of buildings and train pieces. Make sure to pay attention to trail to make sure you are going in right direction. We made that mistake and ended up far from where we parked.

Nice day for a walk. Check out the pavilion and the wheel benches! They even got the 1955 Plymouth 20-ton diesel that once worked Northampton's Dragon Cement.

Nice long bike trail. Leads you to Whitehall Rail trail. And an additional 7 mile loop around the town of Coplay.

This is a very well maintained trail. Almost completely level. There is a main circuit and a picturesque off-shoot. A few bridges that are extremely well maintained, cross several creeks. The babbling brooks are great. There are numerous benches spaced out periodically, usually near an especially scenic location. There are a few parking lots so you can travel here and traverse the trails by foot or pedal. A couple of well maintained portapots are also on the trail, though I have never used one to speak of them directly. And numerous waste receptacles for garbage or pet refuse.. They do not allow motorized vehicles or any equine on the trails. Definitely a worthwhile trail for locals and travelers alike.

Great for a casual bike ride or relaxing walk. If you go off the main trail, you'll often discover places to explore like abandoned buildings, old quarries, or old railroads. Every time I ride this trail, I make it a point to explore and I always find something new.
