The produce is always rotten, I’ve gotten rancid chicken from here before. Prices are higher than the other stores in the area. The employees are nice but the owner is known for being rude and disrespectful.

Gould's is my go-to store for most of my grocery shopping! It is clean, well stocked, and reasonably priced for a family owned local store. The produce, deli, bakery and meat departments are very good. There is a lot of variety in all areas of the store! The real draw is that the staff become like family if you shop often enough. It is the friendliness of the staff and owners that make it so nice to shop there. It is hard to find nicer young people that are working and going to school who have time and respect for their customers. I read one review that was so far off the mark! Wrong about everything. I for one don't want or need the big flash or pomp that many NEW grocery stores hype! I like the friendliness, kindness, and good work ethics I find in Gould's!

Shop here when I need a few things although today the store manager John Cara made a very loud and dramatic show over me not having the card I was using to pay on me Physically . I have a picture of said card with my name and card number as well as my drivers license which he didn’t even bother to look at. He very rudely and loudly made it sound as though I was trying to cheat the store somehow. He then grabbed my cart and pushed it away from me not even asking if I was going to use a different form of payment which I was going to. I was humiliated and will never shop here again. He was so condescending and ignorant that I should’ve slapped him to be honest. Explains why the staff is a majority teens . No adult would tolerate the way this man is . I am baffled how he is a manager. Let me say I can understand rules are rules but this man made a scene and treated me like some kind of degenerate for a simple situation.

The rice pudding from the deli is indeed kozy shack. It's a evil we can't avoid.

Hometown store, family run. You can find most of the products you need here. Unfortunately due to staffing shortage Deli has been closing early and it's hard to stop in and get quick things to eat for dinner after working all day.

Deli closes very early 4pm. Was there the other day just a few minutes after 4pm and associates behind the counter said it’s closed… most of us still work as well, made a 20minute drive to get there just for lunch meat so that was disappointing.

I had a decent amount of respect for debbie Cara.Up until today.I was previously employed here,(started when i was 17 quit when i was 18) came in for a note of proof that I am no longer. since my mom needed it for applying for food stamps, I suppose whatever makes her happy. I saw familiar faces, that made me smile. I came in with a lot of optimism and tried to stay positive. I was immediately met with Debbie Cara approaching me inside of the office asking what she can do for me. I start off with telling her how i submitted a note a few days ago, and she cuts me off asking me what it’s for, saying something like “we don’t get involved in that” (??? a note from a manager, a cowner, signed. would’ve been fine.) i tell her the food stamps situation, and she tells me john will be back in a week as he is out of work. I tell her, that matt signing it or even he would have been fine. she then precedes to tell me “well, you’ll have to wait a week. we don’t owe you anything, remember? you quit on us so abruptly.” she shrugs her shoulders at me, wide eyes. i was SO. taken aback by this. my response was “it takes 5 f*cking sexonds to write and sign a note.”. i definitely panicked as i started swearing at her. my anger pented up, from being treated like a sl8ve the entire time i worked there, not only by customers but by staff. maybe i could have kept my composer, but today, debbie cara proved how insecure, petty, and delusional her and her “husband” are. she met me with pure evil intentions today, she was condescending, somehow offended , and took it personally, that one of how many teenagers quit without much notice. good to know i’ll never be returning back here , prohibited or not
