The only reason I'm giving 4-stars is because of the owner. The two employees we worked with were solid. However, when we came back to visit our puppy a couple of times during the week (had to wait to take puppy home because he was from out of state), their vibe totally changed when the owner was around. The owner of Playful also owns Ruh Roh's pet shop around the corner. Same thing happened there. Employees were very nice without the owner present and very stressed when owner was there. Anyway, I don't know the backstory. Maybe something stressful was happening at both places on multiple days.Last thing....negotiate! The employee who helped us told us we can negotiate and we saved $700. The next day, when we returned to visit our dog, the other employee never told the other customers to negotiate and they paid full price.

My family and I went into this store this past week. The puppies couldn’t be any cuter and most importantly, are clearly well taken care of and very much loved. The store was exceptionally clean and the girl who helped us was so friendly and compassionate. When we are ready to get our next fur baby we will absolutely be coming here.

AVOID Playful Pets like the PLAGUE. This establishment deserves zero stars in my opinion and needs to be Shut Down! The owner/manager is negligent and irresponsible. The puppies are not fit for sale and likely are from puppy mills. I paid top dollar for a shepherd approximately 5 weeks ago. The puppy was sick and infested with parasites. BethAnn refused to refund my $1,750. I paid almost $2,000 for the equivalent of a "rescue" dog. BethAnn claimed the the Veterinary that examined the puppy "was out to get" Playful Pets. The veterinary indicated that the puppy had been treated an excessive number of times for worms/parasites indicating that the puppy was infested at the time of purchase. Also, the puppy vomited and had diarrhea when it arrived to my residence. BethAnn had described the puppy as a picky eater, when in fact the puppy was ill and refusing food due to illness. The male puppy also had an undescended testicle which may need to be surgically treated. BethAnn's veterinary confirmed my vet's findings. AVOID Playful Pets like the Plague. Purchase a puppy at from this establishment at your own risk. The puppies sold here are subpar quality, do not receive the proper care or vaccinations, and the owner/operator/manager engages in unethical unlawful behavior.

Basically a puppy mill. Please be responsible. Adopt don’t shop. They are not responsible with their “pets” and will no take them back either. If someone doesn’t want the pet they bought, any responsible shop would make sure the dog found a better home.

Had a great experience here purchasing our pomeranian puppy Bella ( Formally Tinana), the staff was very helpful and polite. The place was well kept and clean and even smelled good as well. The puppies are definitely spoiled with lots of attention and other puppies to play with. We will definitely be coming here in the future thank you guys for such great service!

Stay away. Rescue a dog instead.Overpaid for my Male Samoyed. He was sick with pneumonia at purchase ( unknown to us) and I am STILL waiting for verification of his AKC papers as of 9/5/2023. I purchased a Samoyed puppy for $3500 CASH in January 2023. After doing research I realize I overpaid for a male. I currently am waiting for proof that he is AKC registered. I have asked for my paperwork since January. It’s September and I STILL have no proof of his registration. This facility does not seem to care about the buyer or family who ends up with their animals as he was sold to us sick and had to be hospitalized for pneumonia for a week ( vet said almost didn’t make it) days after my purchase. PLEASE DONT come unless you want to gamble taking home a very sick, very expensive animal with NO PROOF of his AKC paperwork ( 8 months later) that he was advertised with in the purchase folder . Buyer beware.

First off, I did change Poppy's name to Lexie. She is such a good girl. I know she was not at playful pets that long but I could tell it was not the typical “pet store”. The places were they were kept was so roomy and it was great to see older dogs and a cat rooming around.

We lost our little girl in 2019 and my hubby said we're never getting another. Losing her was way too hard. Fast forward, July 2022 I found the perfect new addition to our family. I quickly sent my hubby the link and called to set up an appointment to go and see her. He knew on the car ride there we were coming home with her. She was exactly what we needed and then some! She is so loved, very healthy, happy, playful, loyal and protective. She's a toy poodle who weighs 6 1/2lbs. she's a silver beige color. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable. The place was so clean from the moment we walked in and you could tell they took really good care of their pets. They were very helpful and we were even given pictures of her Mommy and Daddy. We had a great experience and have recommended Playful Pets to friends and family.Thank you so much!
