worst moving company ever. I actually caught a mover putting one of my watches in his pocket. This type of behavior is disgusting and unprofessional.

While this is the most expensive company out there, the workers get paid very low compared to other companies. I recommend you do all your own packing or you will be charged for used material and half rolls of tape. The owner Jacob comes on jobs and does the paperwork because he doesn't trust his employees. While acting like he's just a supervisor. He doesn't want the customer to know he's the owner. He even reuses plastic mattress covers that were on someone else's bed, and will charge for it. Also I would recommend moving all valuables yourself. And he only keeps workers that are very slow to make the job last as long as possible.

The moving men were fantastic! On time and so efficient. They had my old house packed and moved into the new house in 5.5 hours. Everything was put where we asked. Highly recommend! Thank you again !

We have not moved for 40 years. So there was much anxiety when we faced with downsizing in our retirement years. We are 110% satisfied with Countrywide Moving and Storage. They did a great job from start to finish. The gentleman who came to our home to take inventories answered all our questions and explained every issue regarding long distance moving. The estimate was accurate to the penny that that was exactly what we paid at the end. During the move, the movers were all highly professional and friendly. They took great care not to damage the furniture or the walls. Ciuntrywide was definitely a first-class mover choice if you want a anxiety-free moving experience. Ted

My family and I hired Countrywide Moving services to move us to a destination 3 miles away..My neice and I were in touch with Kim who seem very enthused to do business with us.. she called an emailed a few times to secure our business..We eventually discussed moving arrangements and cost days prior to moving day..my niece was in touch with Kim on more than one occasion to discuss and make adjustments to our prior discussion. We e-signed an agreement/ contract days before moving day..Moving day..the movers showed up on time but upon arrival the gentleman who enter the house complained about everything.. he told us based on the amount of boxes we had the cost would be much more than discussed..We wanted to get the move going so my sister and niece told him we would pay whatever extras they billed us..he gave my niece a document to sign confirming that agreement.. he however complained some more oabout what he would have to do..he went outside talked to someone on the phone and came back inside and said they wouldn't do the job and suggested other ways of getting our stuff move.we didn't ask for his opinion or advice since he was hired to do the job of moving us to where we wanted to go..We were shocked and in disbelief at this decision since we had a deadline to move out.. He walked out and wished us "good luck"...I called Kim to find out why there was a change in our agreement..she was very unfriendly now and in a flat tone said the movers said there was more stuff than we discussed and that stuff were in the way of getting to stuff.. that made no sense since they are movers and were there to move our stuff. I told her that we agreeded to pay for whatever they thought was more than we had discussed..she wasn't apologetic , just kept saying "I wasn't there..that's what I was told"..I think they didn't care and didn't seem ready to work and just left us hanging without even the professionalism to give us a good explanation about backing out on us at the last minute.. We would not recommend them to anyone..

The office staff in PA was kind and polite and a joy to work with. The movers arrived and packed well. They were quick and did a good job there. I received a call from the movers as they were arriving in our state for a long distance move. They asked if they could drop our things a day early. We arranged with the rental office and moved our lease a day earlier, causing us to take a different apartment, because the one we rented was not yet ready. We also paid an additional fee. The movers then called and wanted to deliver yet another day early. but they called at 7 PM the night before and we could not change the lease again at that hour. They arrived and did a good job moving in, but LOST a family heirloom table worth $2000.00, I was first offered $200.00 and then $175.00 by "Charlie", because they only pay by weight. The Countrywide office did not help, other than pass me on to an adjuster. The table may be in storage, but no one back tracked to check, other than to check the depot. They may of mixed it up with someone else's move, but no one is doing the extra checking. Had they not lost my furniture and moved may date at 7 PM the night before a second time, I would have given them a good rating, but I need to be honest and spare someone else the heartache of loosing a piece of my family's history.

I picked Countrywide Moving after quite long search on internet when I moved last Nov. 2018. What made me happy was they sent 4 guys rather than 2 not like the other companies, which made my moving hours very quick. Bo team was very careful and super polite. Zero problems. After moved in, I found one of my expensive box was disappeared.. I looked everywhere, no, it looked gone. I called Countrywide Moving and accused them for my stolen box. Kerry was still super nice to listen to me, she didn't react emotionally, only told me she would cooperate sincerely whatever I decided to do. My husband also called the supervisor and he answered very calm and assured that there was not a single stolen box since he opened his business. Yes. They were right. They were absolutely right........ I found that stupid box in a weird place. Nothing was lost or missing. I called Kerry and apologized, which was not enough. How could it be enough when I accused the real good honest working team who did their best to help my stuff moved.............{I wanted to die.....} I still apologize to Bo with the 3 other very very super polite guys, hope I knew their names, and Kerry who was so patient at my temper, and the supervisor. Thank you very much for all of you, I absolutely recommend this company. Plus, the rate was cheaper than any other competitors.

Countrywide is the standard by which I judge all moving companies. The crew here is top notch, especially Eric the foreman. He is meticulous, careful, runs a tight ship, and has an excellent work ethic. I've had the pleasure of using this company for a local move and and interstate move, and the guys (particularly Eric and Hector!) are always so careful with my things and so efficient. Frankly, other places pale in comparison. Sadly, Countrywide wasn't available for a local move within CT so I can had to go with another company that did not measure up. I would happily pay a premium just to ensure they are responsible for every move I have for the rest of my life.

The owner of this company would not show proof of his insurance. As a paying customer, i have a right to know that the company i hire has General Liability and Auto Liability in the event they hurt someone, and Workers Compensation in the event one of their employees are injured. A customer should not have to worry about getting sued because a company they hire wont show their proof of insurance. Update: Despite having an email confirming a quote and a conversation with their salesperson that they refused to release their insurance certificate to me because i dont have a right to see it (per the supervisor/owner), and they took a credit card deposit from me (which they refunded), the owner has called me several times demanding i remove my review and threatening legal action. As i stated, i confirmed my conversation in writing. if you are paying for a service, you have every right to ask and get proof of insurance from your vendor. Dont be bullied.
