This Dollar General is near Normalville, PA and there is nothing normal about this DG The shelves are bare, there was a line wrapped down the aisle waiting to check out. Understaffed and understocked.

With Dollar General stores popping up everywhere it is no wonder why some of them look very generic. They are built so quickly that some of them honestly look like a metal garage that has been converted into a store. That is the case here. And it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. Wasn't really here for anything in particular, just came in as a stop along my way while out one day. I did end up purchasing myself a drink while here. I did my once around in here and it did not surprise me that there were carts in the middle of aisles awaiting product placement on the shelves. What was more surprising was how messy it was in general. There seemed to be a lot of items that were just out of place. That added to the fact that it felt like there wasn't enough room to accommodate everything in here. When it came to checking out and getting out of here, that's when everything bottlenecks and you come to a standstill. The register was slow moving. Unfortunately this is not one of the DGs out there that has the newly setup self checkout areas, but they do have more than one register...that is if they would have used more than one register. For my two items I had it was nearly not worth waiting in line to pay for.

Great to have nearby when you are out of something. But I hate it when they are unloading truck and have carts in the Isles. Maybe restock during the night...I know would keep the money out of the owners pocket. But someone is going to get hurt teying to get something behind a cart.
