“We really enjoyed our stay at the Hiestand House. Pam and Dallas were excellent hosts, the accommodations were very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious!”
“Very friendly front desk person. Very pleased with our large room.. Great in-room jacuzzi .. Very comfortable mattress. Room was very clean. TV had lots of free movie channels to choose from.. Excellent breakfast with pre-made cheese egg omelets, hot sausage patties, fruit, waffle maker. Carpets in halls can use updating, but I believe they are working on a renovation. Convenient location. Great value ! Thank you !”
“We had a great stay overall—the hotel was clean, comfortable, and family-friendly. It was definitely a popular spot during our visit, with lots of kids and families around, but everything was well-maintained and the staff was friendly.
The only downside was breakfast. The poor attendant was clearly overwhelmed and he didn’t have any help. As soon as breakfast opened, the food was gone almost immediately, and it was tough to get anything without a long wait. He needed one person to handle wiping off tables, one person attending to trash, and one person to handle replenishing food.
When I checked in they immediately asked if we wanted housekeeping service, I declined. If that question was meant for labor and staffing, maybe reassigning people to help in the breakfast area next time?
That said, we still enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back—hopefully with a bit more support for the breakfast team next time!”
