I wanted to have my upper P&W'd and called in prior to dropping it off. On the phone I was quoted 2-3 weeks. I went to drop off and I found it odd I wasn't given a receipt ticket copy.After two weeks, I called in to ask on the status and was advised that the smith was running behind and it should be done soon.At little over three weeks, I decided to stop in and found out the smith had been on vacation the entire time, nothing was started.I get that people go on vacation, but to lie to me about it and not give me an option was incredibly unprofessional. Just let me know when I called of the real status and let me decide the next steps.Took my business to Mussers in Ephrata. They were an order of magnitude more professional. Quoted 1-2 weeks. They gave me a receipt ticket for my upper and a day before 2 weeks was up I received a call for pickup.

This is a great gun shop, they know firearms, I have been hunting and shooting guns over 50 years, I've been coming here all my life, before with my dad when Cletus Kemmick owned it. Great local gun shop.we bought shotgun reloads here $1.75 a box long ago. Love going there.

Tom has once again come through for me. I had just mention to happen to mention that I was interested in Sako. He tells me shortly there after that once came in available. A m995 in 762 warbird at a great price. A few months ago I had mentioned to him I would love to get a 338 lapua in an older AICS thumbhole stock. Sure enough. He calls me up that he has one. And bought right after that.

Super friendly knowledgable staff. As a newbie, I always have a great experience coming here and talking shop with them. They always have been low key and easy to talk to. This is one of my favorite places to go and hang out. Super happy.

I've bought several pistols at Backwoods outfitters over the past 30 years. I don't go in often enough for the owner to know me but he treats me like were old friends. They don't have hundreds of guns in stock but if he doesn't have just what you want, find the gun you want at any gun shop then call or visit backwoods and they will order the gun for you at a much lower price than anyone else. The owner couldn't be a more likable person and if your not sure exactly what it is your looking for he will help you figure it out. If you're buying a gift for someone and don't know guns, he'll ask the right questions to figure out what you want and get it for you if he doesn't have it. With his prices, I honestly don't know how he stays in business. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

I just called to inquire about stock for several items. I spoke with a guy named Jim, he was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. This outfit seems to have earned their high rank for customer feedback on Google. I will definitely buy from them when they have what I'm looking for.
