I visited Valley Forge Running Company in Collegeville and worked with Jim, who was so helpful and made the whole experience of finding the right shoes pleasant. I left with what I felt were really the right fitting shoes for me. He was very attentive and even had some good advice and taught me a few things about shoes that will make a huge difference in how I wear them and my resulting comfort.

I came here to support a local business. I needed new sneakers and came to see what the store carried. I wound up buying a full price pair of Hokas for $145. In two months the tread started falling off of them. When I went back to the store, they informed me that have seen this before in some of the Hokas and I would need to contact Hoka directly for my issue. So I did just that. Now I have to pay to ship my defective shoes back and wait weeks without any sneakers and then maybe they will give me credit to buy another crappy pair of Hokas on the Hoka website. I am very displeased and will never buy shoes anywhere but REI again. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Sat 10/7 went to the Collegeville location to buy sneakers. As my wife and I entered a man with a hat and beard ask to help us. I epxlained that I would like to try the New Balance 880 in size 10. He said they were dropping the NB880 due to poor sales. He then came out with 10 1/2 and 11 but I have worn size 10 for the past 15-years. He said they run small and would suggest a larger size. I then said that does not work for me, and he reiterated they are being dropped. My wife looked at me and said let's go. So we left due to his poor customer service and very rough presentation. We then went to another local store in Phoenixville and we bought (3) pair of running shoes. (2) NB880 size 10 and (1) Ghost15 women's. FYI - New Balance is NOT dropping the 880 and your customer service was terrible. Good luck to you! We will neve be back.

Great experience. I’ve never gotten fitted for running shoes before, and I was very impressed with Dave’s knowledge. Fair prices and excellent customer service. I’ll be back for my next purchase!

I've been toying with the idea of buying new shoes (hoping that a new pair might help out my back/neck a bit). I decided to stop in to see if I could have my foot measured and get some suggestions for a new style to try. The shop was a little busy when I got there but Jim was able to help me. he measured my foot and asked a few questions about my lifestyle in order to recommend some styles that would work. Jim brought out a pair of Hoka Bondi 8 (a style i tried on a year ago at another running store) as well as a similar style by another company. I tried both pairs on and made my choice. Checkout was simple and easy; they even have a rewards program where you get $25 credit after spending $300 (I believe)

Hands down the greatest running store I’ve been in! Talk about a personable staff that is 100 percent committed to making you feel that you are worth their time! No push to buy a certain product and all the patience and expertise to answer any questions from beginner to expert. With living 200 miles away I make it a point to stop in every time I pass through! And they these guys even make sure you don’t leave without being properly hydrated! 5/5!!!! The staff/ownership sets a new standard! Thank you Valley Forge Running Co!

Excellent shop, Jeff was great. Got a pair of running shoes and more cushioned running shoes for working as a nurse. Will be back when I need another pair! I see lots of good accessories too...

Stopped in for the second time today, now my second pair of altras from them. The staff and I’m assuming the owner were very knowledgeable and helpful. They carry a great selection, to properly fit your needs. We will definitely use them again and recommend to anybody in need of a quality shoe store.

Knowledgeable staff ( Thanks Jeff ) Needed a pair of new sneakers for walking and they hooked me up. Didn't realize how much good footwear affected comfort just walking around. Glad I was told about the place.
