This is the best place i coudve taken my cat diva. The vet was super wirh her n helped her get better! Would recomend her to anyone for any animal issues, if your looking for a professional lady to treat care for, and carefully explain everything, this is your vet! I have been going to Dr Atkins for about 4 years. First let me say i do have a balance but i pay when i can which i can appreciate that she lets me do that. I an on social security and i lost my husband of 50 years and only get so much money. I have house payment electric water and all the other things to pay for so-it does not go far and it seems every time i almost get it down something happens. I do have cats that people left at our home and one day one who was ten got sick. She was very rude got mad for bringing her a sick animal and i knew sadly he had to be put down. She was very angry and i did tell her i can only do what i can do. I did want his ashes but she said no because i owed her money i can under stand but its not like i can save him until i pay of the bill so we took him home and buried him. I have a dog that has to be tranquillized or you cant cut her nails i called her for a prescription and i was not getting them from her i was going to go to Walmart for them and she said no not until i pay my bill so I guess as far as she’s concerned, the dogs nails can just grow and grow and grow. Obviously, I will not be going back. I will pay off my bill a little at a time as I can, and find another Vet I would never ever go back to her again I don’t care what people saying their reviews. She has a streak of harshness and being rude. Her staff is very nice except one so I will not be going back plus, the fact I know my dog has entropion. I bred sharpeis many many years ago and I know what it looks like and every time I take her, she said no she doesn’t. It’s fine so I’m glad people had a wonderful experience with her but I think she is rude and can be very disrespectful. Sometimes it depends on the mood she’s in so I’m sure I’ll be getting a rebuttal from her, but this is exactly what happened. I’m not gonna say I don’t owe the woman money I do. I pay it when I can. In fact I paid $50 three days before I asked her for the prescription I was gonna give her $100 and two more days but that wasn’t good enough so I’m actually glad I’m not going back there. my granddaughter had a dog. It was part pittie, which I love their wonderful dogs, but this dog just did not do well around cats and had a streak of meanness like no other dog I’ve ever had and I showed her pictures of bites that she gave my other granddaughter. I wanted to try and find him another home And the only thing she could do is give him a sedative I would tell her they weren’t working and she just said we’ll keep trying. I am 72 years old and I have had dogs all my life and I know when a dog isn’t gonna be good in a family because he’s the only one I’ve ever had he is rehomed and has a wonderful life now with no children no cats no other dogs. I would tell her you can’t call the cats. You can’t say no you can’t even raise your voice, not yelling, but raise your voice in the house or he would attack my granddaughter just have nothing good to say about this Vet. I am moving soon so i will definitely be finding a new vet

The most caring and thorough vet care I have experienced in the 50+ years of owning multiple dogs in various towns. I was blessed that Dr. Atkinson was willing to accept my three newfoundlands into her care when I moved to the area a few years ago. I could tell from the very first appointment that we were in good hands and every interaction since has exceeded my expectations!

Dr. Atkinson and staff are the best I've ever encountered at any vet establishment. We've been taking our various pets there since at least 1995 and have NEVER had any problems. We would highly recommend them far and wide!!!
