You could see a lot of bad reviews for this place. There is a story behind this. Hertz decided to close down the Hertz-Thorndale which had terrible reviews. Penn-collision was doing collision work for Hertz. So Hertz asked them if they could take over the auto-rental office.I used Penn-collision Hertz store for my rental to and from JFK airport and it was great. The associate was helpful and responsive.Unfortunately they have to live with the bad reviews from the old rental office.

Horrible customer service. They called me 2 days before reservation to cancel it because they didn’t have the car available for my date. Then they called me back and told me that my reservation couldn’t be cancelled and that I was going to get charged even though they didn’t have the car I reserved.

Absolutely horrible experience. I paid $1,300, 2 weeks prior to picking up, for a mini van for our family vacation to Disney. I called in 3 days ago to verify my reservation, was never told I would need a credit card for a deposit. We were supposed to leave tomorrow morning at 3 am. Well, when I went to pick up the van, they would not release the van because I do not have a credit card for a deposit?!? So, we tried to use my wife’s credit card…. They said in order to do that, they would have to charge the original $1,300 in addition to the $200 deposit!!!! What???? So, we would be out over $2,600 for a mini van rental??? I have never been in a situation where I already paid in full for a service and was denied the service. Not sure how we are going to get to Disney, thanks for ruining our vacation! I will NEVER use or recommend Hertz EVER…..

Horrible experience. Do not reserve a car here and expect to get a car. Guaranteed reservations are optional here. No responsibility or accountability. I am Hertz Gold and reserved with AMEX Platinum. Worst ever.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They don't a lot of space for cars here so make sure you book your rental before you come.

My overall experience with the customer service was nice the employees were helpful and I rented the car no hassle. However, the 2021 Elantra I rented blew hot air on the AC setting and the three hour car ride I had back to Coatesville was unpleasant since I had to have the windows down.

Hertz rental car company will likely have you arrested for renting a car from them so just don't rent from them there lots of alternatives

Actual joke normal Friday 11:30 am nobody is there hours show open on google phone number is useless just endless robot responses never can talk to a actual person . Enterprise and Avis are next door I would suggest going there since employees here only work when they want to

Was originally at war with the staff here about my cargo van rentals but after the air cleared the guys here will go out of their way to find me (last minute most times) what I need for the day/week. I usually have multiple vehicles rented at same time for different needs and the Coatesville staff are helping me stay in business after my personal vehicle was totalled.

Never will I ever attempt using Hertz ever again. I made a reservation 1 week in advance and prepaid for the rental $500. I arrived to pick my rental up and the branch was not even open! I called customer service and their response was “unfortunately that branch is closed for the next 5 days”. I already had a reservation and no one contacted me to make me aware that this branch would be close. Hertz did nothing to try to move my reservation to a different location, the response was “we cannot transfer to another location all you can do is cancel your reservation and make a new one but we can’t guarantee a vehicle” so not only would I need to wait 10 days to get my money back but they also said they can’t guarantee me a vehicle after I already paid in advance for a reservation. No kind of accommodations what so ever. No discount on a future rental for inconveniencing me just hours before a road trip just nothing. Here’s your refund, you should get it in 10 days. On top of that the “supervisor” I spoke with refused to send me email confirmation in writing that I would be getting a full refund. This was easily the worst customer service experience I ever had and the nonchalant attitude that they had as if this wasn’t a problem made it even worse. They will never see a dime from me!

Hertz is great, esp this location, they are knowledgeable and helpful. Hertz is absolutely the best price when pickup and drop off locations are different.
