I am so pleased with my experience at Chester County Transmissions! The staff are all so sweet and professional. I needed an oil change as soon as possible and they fit me in right away! I also found out about their healthcare worker discount and was elated that they offered this service! I will definitely be back for any maintenance on my car. I am pleased to know that shops like this still exist!

Talk about going above and beyond for their customers! Chester County Trans. literally stayed open after hours to help me with an issue on our vehicle. Literally wouldn't take our families vehicles anywhere else.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Chester County Transmissions. I called ahead and was assured that they could start working on my car the week I dropped it off. As someone who knows cars, I had already purchased all the necessary parts from the manufacturer, which they said was fine.
I dropped my truck off on June 5th, and as of today, July 2nd, the only thing they've managed to fix are the brakes and calipers. They had my car for over three weeks! When I informed them that I would be picking up my car, Rich claimed he thought it was a collector car, which is why the work hadn't started. This was never discussed, this was all an assumption.
Rich quoted me $331 to pick up my vehicle, but when I arrived, someone else said Chris had given me the wrong price. There were additional fees because Rich had only charged for one side of the calipers being changed, not both, and they claimed to have purchased a part through their dealer to put in my vehicle. You would think the individual putting together quotes would actually know the cost to accurately relay this information to the client.
This place preys on people who aren't aware of the cost of parts and labor. According to them, changing one side of the brakes took four hours. I can't believe they think it's acceptable to overcharge customers with bogus labor charges. This is clearly a scam. Please be careful and check the detailed breakdown of any charges. Stay away!!

I had my Toyota Tundra at Chester County Transmissions in August 2023 for some work on the transmission. The task at hand was to drill out the rusted bolts on the transmission pan and the transmission plug that was rusted/seized. I traveled 1 hour and 15 minutes to this shop to give it a shot because the quotes I received in my local area from other transmission shops were ridiculous. The other shops wanted to just sell me a new transmission when in reality, nothing was wrong with the internal workings of the transmission. Andy went ABOVE AND BEYOND explaining everything to me. Him and his staff were very friendly with every interaction I had. They had my truck for a few weeks, it was not a rush job and I was perfectly fine with that. The technician that was assigned to this job was very crafty with getting these rusted bolts out. Along the way, they also discovered O-rings that were leaking and a misc. ground wire that was broke. Everything was fixed up and in total saved me over $5,000 based on the quotes I received from shops local to me. I will for sure bring any vehicles I ever own needing transmission work, to Andy and his crew, even if it is a further drive for me. I highly recommended this shop. Thank you Andy and Team for a job well done, no more leaking transmission pan!Services: Transmission

I brought my diesel Volkswagen to this shop for diagnostics and service in May 2022. I clearly explained my car trouble to them and subsequently was told it needed a new/rebuilt transmission with a quote of work to be done in 21 to 30 days at a cost of near $3,500.00Over the following 77 days I placed frequent calls to the service station to keep myself informed about the work in progress. I remained patient and was under the impression that this work was necessary to fix my vehicle.I picked up my car on August 9, 2022 and paid the bill in full at the amount of $6,876.19, double the initial quote.My car trouble worsened as now the vehicle shuts off while driving at random.I returned my car for them to service on October 26, 2022, as the work done was under warranty. I was told it would cost $150.00 for another diagnosis which was then waived because I was told it just needed a new battery quoted costing with installation around $500. Incidentally, the six year old battery had passed a test on September 10 and October 20 just a week prior. I towed it and got the battery installed elsewhere for around $250.00After several attempts to remedy my car’s problems through Chester County Transmissions I’m at a loss: the work they have done to my vehicle has worsened its drivability.Furthermore they passed my vehicles inspection without filling the brake fluid which I then bout and did myself as the dashboard was beeping and lighting up.I contacted them about a refund and got denied. My car is essentially totaled. It is my belief that they don’t know what they’re doing fully, at least to my car, and they’re overcharging for work that’s not quality.Services: General repairs & maintenance

This shop is the best! I always have a great experience be it my car or my mom’s. The staff is polite, informative, affable and professional in every sense of the word. Reasonable prices too. They update you periodically of the progress of the work being done. Clean environment!!!! And it even gets better if you’re a nurse. They care about their customers. Called Chester County Transmissions regarding a suspect issue I’m having with my 2011 Subaru Outback, that could be related to the CVT transmission. Speaking with Andy, he gave me his time and knowledge to help isolate an issue. Hoping I don’t have to call back but I do appreciate him taking the time to assist.

Andy is a great and understanding guy!!! He is working on my trucks transmission and he's working with us on payments as we've had it tough!! I wish I could get this kind of service from a vet!!! Nice and great people work here and I thank them for everything!!!
