“If you love new and used books. Then this is the place to be. I spent $8.09 for a used hardcover copy of Dodsworth published in 1926. Plus a $1.00 donation to the cause. The staff here is awesome.I have such a high regard for used books. Sometimes just settling in with a cup of tea and some sunshine. To read a great story. Being transported to the author's vision. There is nothing like it.You have to see this store. They also have clothing items for sale.I highly recommend this store.”
“I found this place via Marketplace after a long search to find the perfect credenza. The owner is an expert at curating quality pieces and is incredibly fair in his pricing for items and delivery. He also managed to find the perfect nightstands for me (over text based on my loose description!) saving me another search. If you’re looking for top notch customer service and well crafted products at great prices, this is the spot!”
“My favorite thrift store. Been coming here since a lil girl. I truly miss Ms. Bert. The females they have there now are so unpleasant. Especially the lady with blonde hair and glasses, she's nasty”
“A MUST STOP when in the area! I try to stop in The Alley Door whenever I am nearby. The inventory is always new and there’s many hidden gems. In today’s visit my sister found a vineyard vines sweatshirt, a rails dress and a black linen dress. She also purchased some very cute tea cups. I found a new hat and brand name swim trunks for my husband, an adorable brass sailboat figurine, and a pair of RL shorts. I’ve always found something here that I either needed or couldn’t pass up for the GREAT prices!!! Carol is a doll. And the shop is organized and fun to shop in. Stop in, have an open mind, and see what you can find. There’s definitely treasures to be found.”
“Great selection of vintage Black culture books & apparel and even greater people. Must see destination if visiting Germantown. Right down the block from Uncle Bobby's”
“This shop is the best clothing shop ever! I absolutely love it. 100% worth the money every. single. time. the jewelry, clothing, and scarf selection is amazing in particular. I highly recommend this store!”
“Super narrow and packed with unique finds. So many weird collectibles and a drink stirrer drawer?? Such a fun visit for a lazy Sunday after brunch. I've been fascinated with this place since coming to the city years ago.(**Picture is from 2018)”
“This Jinxed location has a large space and there's a lot of great treasures located here from furnishings to antiques to artwork. And it looks like there is a plant store opening up too? If you're into upcycling, unique one-of-a-kind pieces, and vintage goods - you'll find something you love here!”
“Small store but great variety. Found some STEALS there. Went in for one outfit for semi-formal event, walked out with a bunch of fall additions to my closet, including 2 great pairs of shoes. I have benefitted from Project HOME's adult classes and know people who benefit from their housing. Love being able to help the community/organization and also being able to get some wins as well.
Also, the gentleman who was working, who I believe is the store's manager, was incredibly kind and a funny.
Thanks for a great shopping experience.”
“It’s a little thrift shop with little amount of things but they have great prices. Sometimes you can catch good sales. I caught a sale, clothes were $1 each. The employees are friendly too. There’s some hidden treasures in here. I recommend checking it out.”

5248 Market St, Philadelphia“This is a very nice thrift that is black-owned and woman-owned in West Philly. I found they had a nice selection of items and it was well-lit and clean. They had a variety of things they were selling including clothing, shoes, furniture and various other knick-knacks. The owner was nice enough to provide information when I asked about the prices, and I'm excited to return when I have more time on my hands!”
“Mesh is my favorite vintage store in Philly and possibly on the planet! I have been shopping here for years, and owe this store for probably half of my wardrobe. Mesh is a seriously rare breed these days - a curated store of all vintage pieces, with pricing that actually allows you to buy and enjoy things!! Harder and harder to find in this era of online vintage resale and exclusive pricing. The owner of this store puts SO much work into sourcing everything and running this shop. Have found gems from the 1910's - 1980's here, casual stuff., jeans, formal wear, dresses, shoes etc. My friends and I are all obsessed with this store. Do not miss out.”

19 S Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne“I love this place so much. Lots of stock so I always find something to take home. The prices are more than reasonable... the cheapest thrift store in the area by far. Also benefits a great cause so you can feel good all-around by shopping here.To the insenstive folks complaining about the poor customer service: please understand many of the employees working in this store have developmental delays and may not interact with customers in ways you're used to. Be patient, kind, and compliment them on their wonderful store!”
“Always a great place to find a bargain. The store is organized and tidy. The staff is always very friendly. There is a large parking lot across the street from the building.”

101 E Chelten Ave, Philadelphia“I have been visiting this store for over 25 years. Plenty of clothing, brick a brac, small electronics and housewares. Occasionally a nice piece of furniture.I just bought a beautiful set of hand painted wine glasses and carafe for about $10. Love ❤ this place.”
“They all seemed real nice there. He was very negotiable and respectful kind of funny maybe he's been huffing his own milk paint.. I'm from the south so this is one of the first thrift stores I've seen but reasonable pricing because most of the other ones I've been to up here I don't even know how they're in business cuz there's no way they sell anything at their dream thought prices”
“We have used this personally over the years and found great outdoor and indoor furniture. Now that I work at Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation, I see firsthand the difference the volunteers make and the impact of the revenue that directly supports our care providers and programs. Check it out!”
“I passed this cool Small shop on South St. looking for a barber. Mostly curated new items with a quaint thrift section on lower level. Really great prices and a cool atmosphere. I'll be back.5 stars especially learning the story of how it started. Shout out to the cool workers who were mad helpful.”
“This was surprisingly a pretty cool place with a variety of items by clothing artwork and dishware just to name a few. When I first walked in I thought it was just a women's boutique store which a primarily is, But they had a really nice selection of artwork and vintage dishware as well the other side. The store is kind of narrow but there are two sides to it so it definitely feels bigger than it is. Will definitely be back to look for some interesting artwork while my wife shops.”
“One of the best thrift stores that I've ever been too. There is a huge selection of decor, home goods, clothing, books, accessories, bags, shoes, and jewelry. The clothing is high quality and gently used, and there is a section for designer clothing as well. This is a good place to pick up office wear or a cocktail dress. If you are a collector, there are ceramic figurines, plates, china, crystal, and silver offered at pennies on the dollar. The curated clothing selection rotates with the season. The staff is super nice, too, and there are even changing rooms. What makes this a standout is that it is so clean and well organized, so I don't feel overwhelmed the way I do in some thrift stores. There is parking in the back, so if you turn in next to the McDonalds, you can park right behind the store and go in through the back entrance. Check it out next time you're in Ardmore!”

2318 Washington Ave, Philadelphia“Bargains to hunt and you don't need to get a license to bag some deals. Curious collection of items both one offs and bulk from light bulbs to tents to tile adhesive tv sets or 10$ brand new Levi's. Couches, tables, chairs, tools... If you hate the incipient waste and mark up of prices in today's society or need 300 chalk marking lines, look no further... You can look further, but I mean come on it's right there on Washington, why drive elsewhere...9.5/10 staff deserves an A.”
“this is a big church would fairly a large congregation very friendly people and a very welcoming feeling I understand they have cookouts and other things like that for the family they have activities for the children it is something that I might consider joining”
“Absolutely love this thrift store! It's a hidden gem with a fantastic selection of unique, high-quality items at unbeatable prices. The owner is always friendly and helpful, and I appreciate how well-organized everything is. Highly recommend!”
