I only recently discovered this place and look forward to becoming a regular customer. They have very affordable produce and food items, and the man running it is very sweet. He told me he has lived in Clairton for seven decades, and that he loves being able to bring fruits and vegetables to the residents of Clairton — an area that has been a food desert for decades.The comments disparaging this place are very disappointing. Many people can’t afford fresh produce at grocery stores as it is, especially those in poorer areas around here (case in point: I live near McKeesport and a Shop ‘N Save location that sells limes for a whopping 80 cents apiece). Grant money given to operate this place I assume largely goes towards the overhead that comes with operating a storefront, even one that operates as a nonprofit providing low-cost groceries — and even if the items are largely donated.I hate to break it to some of you, but you can thank capitalism and decades of disinvestment for the reason why Clairton doesn’t have an Aldi or Giant Eagle. Some of you need to be more appreciative of this place and the positive difference they’re trying to make in your community.Sorry, stepping off my soapbox! Not affiliated with this store at all… I’m just a passionate customer who likes to see good things like this happening in the Mon Valley and really hates to see negative reviews that aren’t deserved.

Mostly low grade often rotting of whatever was left from Duquesne food bank or the local free garden that he then sells to local Clairton residents for a profit since there's no real grocery store around here...Under the guise of "bringing you fresh affordable produce"...Kinda predatory business imo...Clairton needs an Aldi. Bad.What the other person said is true, the lady is rude always cranky and maybe "passed her customer service years" to be helping people. It should just be a food bank for Clairton- he gets fed grant for it. stop selling us food bank items from up the street.

Great stopping by this store. Fresh produce, deli meats and cheeses, dry and canned goods. All types of chicken including Perdue. Bacon, pork, steak and dairy items. Fresh bread and buns from Cellones and BreadWorks including some specialties. We severely needed this place in this city! Stop by and I'm sure you'll find something you need!!
