“Was looking online for a reliable, honest mechanic I could trust, since mechanic that once serviced my vehicles for 10+ years was no longer in service. Came across Universal auto repair and they great reviews, so I decided to make an appointment. Explained exactly what I was experiencing when driving. At first glance they couldn’t pin point the issue but with a bit more info from me they figured it out. Also had inspections/emission and daylight replaced. “I live in upstate New York and was looking to buy a used car, I wanted to get a pre-purchase inspection since I would be buying site unseen. I found Alexander’s Auto when searching for auto shops near the dealer from which i’d be purchasing. I called Alexander’s to schedule an appointment and informed them of what I’d be doing. They assured me that it was no problem and they wouldn’t provide any info regarding the inspection to the seller, only directly to me. They performed a thorough inspection which highlighted many areas not seen in photos from the seller or mentioned by the seller. Alexander’s also asked good questions regarding my intent with the car to help me make a better informed decision based on the things that needed work as to whether it would be worth the cost needed to get the car in shape. The owner offered sage advice and wisdom on the used car purchase experience and gave me the insight needed to make an informed decision and moreover things to think about with future buying experiences. Can’t thank them enough!”

The waiting room is big and clean and there is even a small room filled with stuff for kids to play. “I had a great experience at Sunset Auto for my recent auto inspection. Both the owner and son were professional and conducted the inspection and fixed my car thoroughly. They communicated their findings clearly and provided honest advice without any upselling about an issue I had with the car. I have no doubt they are extremely fair and honest people. The service was incredibly prompt, (everything was fixed fast!) and the shop itself was clean. I appreciate that they allow one to buy their own parts if desired as well (and only charge for labor). Highly recommend for anyone looking for dependable auto care!”

“I had a 10AM appointment yesterday to see why one of my tires had a slow leak. By 10:15AM the techs at Mavis had diagnosed the issue and we discussed my options. They were friendly and customer service oriented, which I find to be rare these days. Trevor, the service writer who assisted me, was exceptional and communicated effectively what had occurred and how I could remedy the problem. I will be back for service needs in the future and will recommend this location to my friends and family.”
“I am unbelievably happy to have found Twin's. Not only are they genuinely nice and honest people but they are honest mechanics. They don't try to upsale you or give you mediocre parts( looking at you Firestone). They do great work! My rear breaks needed to be replaced and they did it quickly and reasonably priced. They also suggested to clean filters and add coolant (something the last place completely missed 2 weeks before). Honest and hard workers, they have a new loyal customer!”
“In late June, my car started acting funny and eventually wouldn't go into gear. No warning light came on until the evening it just wouldn't go into gear. I had already scheduled an appointment elsewhere and called my auto insurance provider to have the vehicle towed to that shop. Mark, the owner of Challenger Towing arrived and saw the car wouldn't go into gear. He was fine towing it to the other shop, but said it as most likely the transmission. He mentioned that many newer cars have CVT transmissions and they don't provide as much warning compared to older cars. He took the car to his shop and verified it was the transmission. I'd once said that I'd never pay for a new transmission, but we had just paid the car off two months prior. I had no desire to take on another car payment so quickly. I got the extended warranty on the transmission. I know also know about CVT transmissions and didn't before. When it's time for a new car, I plan to ask if it has a CVT transmission because they tend to only last for 100,000 miles according to my online research. Our Rogue was just under 89,000 miles when the transmission went out. You can trust Challenger Towing - good people, great service.”
