I've owned my pool for three years. Every summer it has been sparkling, clear and clean. I went to buy chemicals for my pool right before the Fourth of July. Two of Dick Mackey's young employees ran a test on my water and sold me $200 worth of products one product I had never used, it was to pull metals out of the water. I put the product in my pool that night. Twelve hours later when we woke up my sparkling clear pool was COMPLETELY CLOUDY. My pool is so cloudy you can not see to the bottom. I went back to try and fix what had happened two consecutive days after that first visit and was told to do different things and sold more chemicals spending more money. I was so upset and frantic to fix this problem that had never occurred before that I bought more chemicals and followed more of Dick Mackey's instructions. The day before the fourth of July, three days into this ordeal, I confronted Mr. Mackey and was told by him "the smoke from the Canadian wildfires must be causing my pool to be cloudy,". What!? Absolutely not. The smoke in June that was worse NEVER affected my pool. I was sold a product that first day that should never have been put in my pool. I have a huge heater that has copper lines. Mr. Mackey then proceeded to blame ME for the cloudiness of my pool. He told me that I didn't read the directions properly on the papers he had given me, which was totally completely untrue. The papers had also been marked up by him, and his staff. I was told to do the opposite of what was written on the papers. I had the proof right in my hands. On top of Mr. Mackey's disrespectful behavior towards me, two young employees admitted wrong doing. One admitted on the third day he gave me advice on chemicals he should not of and the other who had offered to stop by after work to look at my pool asked me not to mention that he offered to stop by in front of Mr. Mackey "because Mr. Mackey may get the wrong idea". I never had this young man at my house but if that is against the rules why did you offer when I was in the store . On top of ruining my sparkling clear water I've had for three summers in a row, Mr. Mackey refused to let me return chemicals I bought from him In the three days I was at his store frantically trying to follow his instructions to clear my pool. These chemicals were unopened and unused and I had a receipt!? I'm so shocked at this man and his employee's unprofessional behavior, lack of knowledge, excuses, inability to take responsibility for ruining my water, selling me products I didn't need and overall disregard for his customer's distress that I had to write about my experience. The last slap in the face was when Mr. Mackey told me not to get so upset, "his pool has been cloudy all summer and he is still trying to get it clear". I'm sorry sir but my pool was never cloudy and if yours is as you stated you are doing something wrong and again should not be giving advice or selling pool supplies or hiring young kids to sell your pool supplies who have no clue what they are talking about either. I now have to hire a company to come drain and fix my water.

I have always had good service with everyone who has worked there over the years. I get good advice when I visit the store and free water testing. I've had Jason come out and replace sand in the filter several times and he has always done a great job.

So starting off.. i feel that Mr. Mackey spends so much time with his customers which We love. I am a true researcher and "review reader" before i buy anything. Mr. Mackey was able to answer any and all of my questions without hesitation. He is extremely knowledgeable about all spa aspects. We purchased a PDC biscayne luxury spa on July 24th. There is a 20 week wait, not due to quality pools but a shortage and backorder. We welcome the wait as we need to put a deck on and there is a lumber shortage now. This is also a PA company which i feel comfortable about. We cannot wait to receive our hot tub. Thank you Mr. Mackey! Will add to my review once spa is delivered. But... so far excellent!Update: Jay and Quinn were our installers, Extremely professional courteous and knowledgeable. They did an amazing job and we are super please and excited and LOVE our new addition to the family! UPDATE! Almost a year later, Jay will always answer any questions I have and is extremely helpful even with them being short staffed. I highly recommend Quality pools. Loving our PDC spa in it about everyday!!

We just bought a house that has a pool and Quality Pools and Spas came and opened it up for the season. The guys were really nice and took the time to educate me on what I had to do for maintenance. Because I f***** early I got a earlybird reduced price! I would definitely recommend them.

We bought our spa from here in the fall of 2019 and we have had nothing but great service. We are first time spa owners and had no idea how to operate one. Jay has been an unbelievable resource and has helped us every step of the way. Jay responds in a timely manner and helps to solve the problem over the phone without hesitation! He is kind and helpful and we appreciate that kind of service.

Love this place. Their prices beat Olympic pool . My dad has been going there for many many years and they are so friendly. I highly recommend them.

This guy is a class A crook. Insists on 100 percent payment up front, he seemed slimy just talking to him, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Won't return calls, refuses to answer simple questions, etc.... his own installers whom he recommends to do the installs on the pools he sells even claim he's a POS. The he says he is canceling g my order and I say that's fine and I insist on my money back right now and he refuses.... total j****** can't believe he's still in business.

Pools are tricky things and there is no magic fairy who an make everything right. There are different types of water, different types of filters and filter media, different sanitizers, different trees causing different pollen problems. It is important to become your own pool expert and Dick Mackey has tirelessly answered my questions over and over as I am learning to become my own expert. He does not over charge for the products that I need and has them on hand. He is a good man who has run a reputable business for many years.

Worst pool service ever! My aunt spent over $6,000 for a pool liner and it was installed incorrectly, after returning a few times to fix it.. it's still falling and caving in 3 spots of the pool. DO NOT USE THIS POOL SERVICE!

Traveled an hour to get our Aquabot repaired. I was told it would take 3-4 days. When I called on day 6 I was told it would possibly be done that day, and if not definitely the next day. I called on Day 7 towards the end of the day and it hadn’t even been looked at! Called on Day 8, three times. The one repair guy they have finally called back and the problem was too expensive to fix. When I went to pick it up the owner made me pay the diagnosis charge stating that he can’t control the weather and they only have one guy to repair them and put in liners. Also that this one guy is dealing with an unexpected personal tragedy (never mentioned to me when I called all those times!!!). No apology or acknowledgment of wrong doing. Don’t give me a time frame you can’t comply with. You should have a general idea of your work schedule. If it’s gonna take a week or two weeks be honest up front. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
