“A truly wonderful family establishment! I was blown away by their kindness and depth of knowledge when I called to ask for help with an heirloom geranium that needed support. They were so nice and helpful, going the extra mile to be sure my geranium would get what it needed to reach optimal health. I couldn't recommend them more, for their extensive knowledge of plants, customer service, and welcoming environment.”
“Great local place for gardening, small farm and pet supplies. They have a ton of stuff in all these areas. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Prices are a little over moderate but in line for our area. Recommended.”
“It's a big beautiful outdoor/indoor nursery with beautiful plants, flowers, trees, etc. They sell some of their plants on QVC and are also a part of the Philadelphia Flower Show! A gardening girls paradise.”
“Stopped in late in the afternoon on the Saturday before Christmas for something to put at my parent's grave site. They had several "Grave Logs" to choose from. Made my choice and headed inside to pay for it. The log was heavier than I thought. Clerk met me at the door, took the log, and offered to put it in my car. That was excellent service! The log was a nice addition to my parent's grave site. Have shopped here several times- - always successful!”
“Great spot to pick up gardening supplies. I don’t have the resources to start my garden from seed. So I stop in here and get peppers, tomatoes, etc. great selection at a fair price.”
“Excellent selection of peppers and vegetables. Usually I have to look a few places to get all the peppers I usually grow since I like the extremely spicy ones. My mom suggested I check this place out before going anywhere else and I walked away with Ghost, Scorpion, Habañero, Scotch Bonnets and Poblanos. Needless to say my last batch of chili was pretty spicy.”

“Visited twice this weekend and both times they were extremely friendly and it was overall easy to get in and out. The yard is clean and has clear signs of what each product is, so it makes it really simple to tell the cashier exactly what you want. I arrived, paid and loaded all within about 5 minutes, which was great. The loader was quick and accurate, so I didn't lose a bunch leaving. This place rocks and is now my go-to place for landscaping.”

“The staff was so nice and helpful! I came in to build a swing and the worker Jen helped me with everything, including cutting wood, which was such a blessing! She was so sweet and happy to help, it really made my night.”
“I shopped here for a DIY project. This is on Lancaster Ave on the malvern/Frazer side. The parking is dedicated for this store. The staff is very friendly and assisted me in getting some materials that are needed for the project. They have a wide range of items of wood and the selection is robust and mrt my needs. Overall, it was a quick visit, but I got what I needed.”
“The older gentleman, Randy, he also teaches at Villanova (I believe that is the one) is always so helpful, kind, ready to make sure you have everything you need and the product knowledge for you too. Amazing person!! He has helped/talked with me multiple times, always great!”

965 E Lancaster Ave, Downingtown“I had a terrible experience at the Lowe's near by and made a bee-line here. I am an art teacher and once a year I go to Lowe's (well, not anymore) to have some wooden planks cut down to use for sculpture bases. Yesterday I tried the Lowe's in Pottstown, but their wood cutting was out of order. Today I went to Lowe's in Downingtown. I selected my planks and asked for assistance. The two people in the department were busy and asked me to wait until they were free. No problem. I waited 15 minutes for them to be free. When the employee met me at the cutter, he asked what I needed done. I had 4 10' planks that I needed cut into 12" pieces. It would take about 5 minutes to do. He told me he didn't have time to do it. He said if he did have time, he would have to charge me for the cutting (I already knew that because there was a sign saying so) I said I didn't mind paying for the cutting, but he refused to do it because he "didn't have enough time." There is a Home Depot just down the road. I went straight there. They were friendly and accommodating. They cut down the wood and it took 5 minutes. They did not charge me for the cutting and helped me load up my cart. It was a world of difference and the reason I will no longer shop at Lowe's. Thank you, Home Depot.”

“I don’t often leave reviews but I had such a great experience here today! The selection was great, the plants were very healthy, and the staff were super friendly. Scott was incredibly helpful and talking with him made my day!”
