“The gallery should stay open into the evening. They should announce when the gallery will be closing so people can have time to round up the art they want to buy. And they shouldn't schedule a special function so close to an open gallery; I was spoken to rudely be one of the organizers. Other than that, a pleasant to experience.”
“I've been to several of the art openings and artist talks at the Church Street Gallery. I think this is the best gallery in the entire metropolitan area. The owner is an artist himself and knows how to choose the best of area artists to show there”
“I was looking via Google for something specific and came across Diving Cat’s webpage in Phoenixville, PA.
They had the handmade art jewelry I was looking for.
I called.
Noelle was over and above helpful, scouring the store for my requested items.
Calling me back when she found what I was asking for. Making ALL of the extra effort - an increasing rarity in this day and age!
She took my details over the phone, followed up with me via text, and communicated with the Business Manager, John, to get the order shipped out to me the very next day.
Package arrived within days, everything packaged securely and beautifully.
Fantastic “extra mile” service and communication from Noelle & John - I HIGHLY recommend Diving Cat - even if you’re not in the Philadelphia-metro area.”
“Love this wonderful gallery and shop in West Chester! It's a lovely space and a great place to find jewelry, art, and little treasures that you won't find anywhere else.”
“Happened to walk by the gallery and felt compelled to go in and check it out - so glad I did. David’s work is striking and I love that he paints local scenes of West Chester and the surrounding area. And, what a kind character David is. West Chester is lucky to have David and his gallery. I’m buying a new house and I can’t wait to have one of his paintings for my own.”
“Picture frames of all sizes. Artwork for those who are looking for it. They also supply glass and backgrounds for photos, easels for photos and nails if you want to hang pictures on the wall.”
“I have had the pleasure of taking long-term glassblowing lessons from Justin since August of 2022. We work together about 4 months out of the year for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week.
He has taught me everything I know about glassblowing, from safety procedures to techniques to the chemistry of glass.
Justin really inspires me to improve as an artist and share my talents with the world. He is always so supportive and encouraging of my work.
From all the time I have spent taking lessons from Justin, I have learned not just how talented and skilled he is as an artist, but I have also gotten to know him as a person. He is truly a great teacher and an intelligent, creative, and hard-working person.
I highly recommend taking classes with him!”
“I am a working artist with a studio in downtown West Chester, PA and have used Visual Expansion on numerous occasions to frame paintings. They are wonderful people who go above and beyond with their service, professionalism, product craftmanship, and friendliness. I recently had a rush commission and they knocked it out of the park with 2 gorgeous, gold, museum- style frames. Plus their shop offers lots of affordable, local art treasures to remember your visit to West Chester. Definitely stop in when you are in town!”
“This place is unbelievable! Not only is every single room a work of art in itself, but it’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with and learn from super unique and talented artists. You can take classes, or even host your own party or small gathering picking from the menu of artists connected with this wonderful place. Kristin (the owner) is the sweetest person you’ll meet, and she puts her heart and soul into this home that has been given a second life as a shop. They win all the awards for a reason!”
