I was in need of an inspection and oil change quickly and I found Tookany Park after a quick Google search. I've driven by there a million times, and it has this old charm about the building. Like there's no frills. Just a good old fashioned shop. Which is what I needed: I have gotten burnt out of these new shops that seem like they're more about trying to upsell their services and are more interested in making the customer comfortable in the waiting room. I don't want that. I just wanted a shop that's there to do shop things, and who's going to give me an honest assessment of what I need and what they can do to give it to me. And sure enough, Tookany Park Auto did exactly that. They were very accommodating, they were quick to get me on the appointment book, and were even quicker to get my car serviced. I dropped it off at 8am, I got a phone call by 9:30am letting me know what was needed, and the car was ready before noon. On top of the quick turnaround, I had a known issue with the car that a different shop pointed out to me would need to be fixed to pass inspection. The other place also told me it would cost upwards of $1,000 to fix. Tookany Park pointed out the same problem, and said they can fix it...for a total cost of $108. I'm no mathematician, but that's the kind of estimate that makes me want to go back to a shop. It's not that they ignored the problem, or failed to notice it. It's that they chose to fix the problem with an aftermarket solution, and not try to make their sales quota. I feel like I just did business with an honest mechanic today, and I am bringing my car there any time I need service done moving forward. There is no question about that. You should too.

Stand offish from the Good morning greeting I gave when i called them and nothing but crickets was the response to that. I went on anyway to express that i had a flat tire right up the street from these "gentlman" and they wouldn't assist me. Color me surprised. How this junk shop of jack leg mechanics is still open for business I'll never know Lol!!

Temporary storage for my wrecked Saturn. Fella there was very nice with helping me get some personal belongings out of vehicle before it got stripped and towed to scrap yard.
