You can get just about anything you might need here, but the firearms counter is woefully understaffed. Waited for a full 15-20 minutes while two staff worked on a sale. All I hoped for was an acknowledgment of my presence and a “We’ll be with you in just a moment.”
When I approached the associate who was training a newer employee, she was terribly rude. Disappointing in a retail environment.

Firearms and baby chicks. There you have it folks, life and death under the same roof. Also good selection of Carhartt and good gorp values. Friendly competent staff.

My first time going into Rural King on wayne ave, chambersburg pa. I used to work at kmart in the same building so for me it was overwhelming & interesting how they changed the layout. Customer service or checkout workers didn't even greet you, must be the new norm which i don't like. I may go back when it gets warm out possibly to buy my kids crocs.

If I could give this store 0 stars I would.Store manager Heather and assistant manager Donna on 8/23/24 should not have a job in retail.. I went to the store to buy railroad ties and I went into store and paid for them and ask for a forklift to help load and when gentleman came out he said that he was told by management that he wasn't allowed to open a new bundle and that I would have to take the ties that people have thrown to the side. I went back in store and management told me the same thing..I know when i go to any other store I pick what I want not what the management wants to sell to people.. So I think the owner of Rural king needs to have a conversation with his staff. The cashier Linny was very understandable and apologetic for the transaction.. I will be calling corporate office about this because no customer should be told that they have to only take what the management wants to sell on that day..
