My dog is a rescue senior pitbull mix... Nova is a sweet sweet girl that has not had the easiest life before me adopting her.

Very friendly staff there at the pet store always friendly and ready too help doesn't make you wait long for help. I've even talked to them multiple times over the phone asking for a kitten and I've bummed out a few times but got lucky this time around once they had moved to the new location. When I walked in gave them my name they automatically new who I was witch felt great. And I received my kitten well without any complications there she turned out beautiful and amazing no fleas, no ticks, or anything and wasn't neglected because you can see that she wasn't we brought her home and she is the happiest little one there and very playful and outspoken lol thank you thank God for that pet store I absolutely love it. I've Hurd bad things before but I go based on my own judgment and it was lovely one I had and I brought a beta fish from there also and he's still going

Went in to get some calming chews for my genetically tested silver lab and the cashier took it upon himself to tell me that she’s not a lab. You’d think an establishment built for pet owners wouldn’t want associates that are uneducated and biased about certain breeds working there. Needless to say I won’t be going back.

Retail prices are a little better than their competition but the pet groomer is consistent with gas station sushi. Don't waste your time and money. Pay the extra few bucks and go to Vintage Grooming.

I got my Betta from there about a month ago, I am very happy with her. She is lively and healthy. However, I noticed a lot of algae in my tank. I did research and decided shrimp where the best option, since snails freaked me out. When I went to get my shrimp I also decided to get a elodea densa. I didn't know much about this plant, I just thought it would be good for the shrimp to have a place to hide. The guy there told me it needed high light. That was all he told me. I was not aware that it was such a strange plant, and should be monitored closely. The plant was bonded together with a rubber band. After struggling to get it planted, a few days later it popped back right up. Wish I would have known earlier it was a floating plant. I also was not informed that it had snail eggs on it. I first found a dead snail, and then found a baby snail. I thought it was just one, but a few days later I saw a very small baby snail. I thought, oh well, no biggie, it's just a couple snails. Then, days later I found a snail infestation. There are now at least a hundred baby snails on the side of my tank, infesting my tank. It is a five and a half gallon tank. It can't accommodate 100 snails, which keep in my mind, I didn't even want in the first place. Today I also discovered a new pair of snails breeding. I believe they are pond snails, but any tips would be great. I have no idea what to do about this infestation, and am very confused why there was ever pond snails in my plant in the first place. If anybody knows what they are and how to get rid of them, I would love to hear it. I am very disappointed and will not ever buy plants from this store again. I attached some pictures EDIT: after doing more research I believe they are parasitic planaria worms. Those worms are a huge danger to my fish and shrimp. They have invaded my tank. They are everywhere. I have no idea how to get rid of them. This makes me even more upset. I understand that not everything can get caught and treated at Petco, but two invasive species on one plant is not okay.

I was in at Petco today and I was very disappointed at the lack of service, it was around 4pm there were 3 people up front, and we patiently waited for someone to come ask if we needed anything. We were greeted at the door and that was it. There were other customers as well who were looking at pets and was not approached either. When you see the employees taking to eachother and on there phones up front it really makes you rethink shopping there. It shouldnt be the customer's responsibility to walk up to the front of the store asking for help. I hope it changes I like buying our fish there, they care about there animals.

Nice new location in Chambersburg. Very open, clean and easily laid out. Plenty of signage to get where you want to go.They offer a nice selection of small animals, fish, pet supplies, dog and cat treats and everything pet related. The staff here is always helpful and friendly. They don't push unnecessary items or more expensive items on you that you won't need.
