I noticed that my brake pedal on my 00’ sierra would produce a sound that sounded like air being released on a Thursday night. I called Tommy’s the next morning to see if they could get me in for a diagnosis. I had a feeling it was my brake booster, which I had replaced last summer (elsewhere). They got my truck in that day and confirmed it was my brake booster, but weren’t sure if the master cylinder was also leaking (they wouldn’t know until they took the booster out). They called me to make sure I was okay with them ordering the parts and even gave me a worst case scenario price for the repair if they did find that the master cylinder was also leaking and needed replacement. They called me on Monday around noon to tell me that it was just the brake booster, and it’s been repaired and the truck is ready to go. The price was far less than what they quoted me on Friday. They very easily could have told me it was also the master cylinder and pocketed the extra money like a lot of shops would do. This is an honest shop and they work efficiently! They allowed me to pay over the phone so that I could pick up my truck later that night after work. Nick is the front desk guy who is friendly, knowledgeable, and will listen to your concerns. He didn’t write me off just because I’m a young female like you might expect at some mechanic shops. Thank you Tommy’s!!!
