It is such a pleasant yet rare occurrence that you are treated as a human being when visiting a federal or state facility. Why do I expect to be treated like less of a person or why do we allow them to get away with mistreating the public and a consumer. If your job makes you so miserable you harm another by your actions you should find another job and replace the miserable with clones of Hockessin employees. You have a forever customer in me. “I always love coming here... I had a good experience with a P.O. box that wasn't used at all and was able to be refunded. Aside from that it enables you to slow down and enjoy where you're at for a break in the day, right along the river. So sad it's currently washed out from the recent storm.”

“The employees behind the counter that I have dealt with have been very nice and helpful. The postmaster will never answer his phone, return calls or speak with anyone with complaints. But luckily you don't have to deal with him when you go to the counter, glad the employees are totally opposite of him.”

“Very good post office, always open on time. Clean friendly atmosphere. Thanks goes out to Tom he is always friendly and does an amazing job. Just an idea if a bin could be set up maybe on the other side of the door going back to the main mail room to drop off pre paid packages such as click n ship, then empty everyday at 10am and 2-3pm this would cut back on long lines.”

“I go out of my way to come here because the service is so much better than any local post office. Gary at the front desk is quite literally always there and is so friendly… it feels like he knows everyone in town. You can always find parking within a block or so to quickly run inside. Just wish their hours were longer. Also if your review is complaining about CALLING the post office you are obviously not up with the times on how short staffed they are. Don’t expect an answer just go by in person”
“It have read the negative reviews about the employees in this post office and I have to say I didn't have that kind of experience. I went in to have a passport picture taken and to submit for a new passport. The women who work there were pleasant and prompt. It was an enjoyable experience.”
“Always a great experience at this post office. On a more specific encounter, today I had to get a passport and I followed the government website instructions to the best I could but I still got a few things wrong. The woman there was extremely helpful in getting everything sorted out and helping spur of the moment for us to get our photo when the ones we brought weren't good enough. She was very friendly through the whole thing. I also like how they're the only post office in the area open late, because I don't get off work until 6 on weekdays and I can always rely on it.”
“I've had my share of bad USPS storys. Once I had ordered a figure and game from Japan. When I got the package, it seemed a little roughed up, but I didnt think about it. When I opened it up, different story entirely. The box had two forklift holes in the box pretty much destroying what was in there. They slapped the customs label on another box and continued with shipment.That said, not every post offices are bad. The one here on Lancaster Avenue is one of the nicer ones. Customer service is great and the location is very clean. Always had issues with my previous post office, but not this one.”

“Giving 4 star just because my work got done smoothly, but it took some time.Kind of a secluded place but work gets done. Staff looked quite introvert and had to wait for some time until someone showed up at the counter. But later felt like they are ok to help with queries and process for the first timers, just look like they are not happy with the job. Overall decent for a quick mail or money orders.”
