I brought my laptop here due to an issue with the display. I was assured that it could be fixed, that the display needed to be replaced, and that it would only take a couple of weeks. After replacing the display, the problem was not solved and I was told the device needed new cables. They loaned me a laptop at this point so I could continue my work. After three months, they were unable to acquire the cables. With no encouraging updates I decided to take the device back, and they charged me for their labor and diagnosis. The reason for this poor review is not solely because they were unable to fix the problem in their original time frame and charged me for it, but because of their poor communication throughout the process. I received little to no updates unless I called. When I called, if I didn't get the employee working on my laptop, I would be told to expect a call the next day, which never happened. Scheduled phone calls, where I was promised an update, were also missed. In all, I am back to where I started when I brought in the laptop three months ago and am out $120.

Great service! Was able to diagnose my drive issue right away and then even looked up my manufacturer's warranty and handled all of that for me as well! Definitely my go to spot for anything computer related from now on!

Left my laptop outside and it got damp with morning dew. it wouldn’t work anymore. Kinn computers was able to get my memory onto a flash drive so I didn’t lose anything. Would definitely recommend.

Nice place and staff to deal with. Went everywhere for a power supply and that was the ONLY place close I could find one. 100% will be back.

This will be a long winded review, but I believe a full understanding of the experience I've had with my broken computer, and ultimately with Kinn Computers, is necessary to justify my opinion. For those with short attention spans: I like them, and I'm confident you will too. Let's get into the meat of this! The Problem I bought a computer from a questionable company out of California with a spotty record that swings wildly between some of the worst reviews I've ever seen and some of the best. I gambled and lost. I got what in theory should have been a great computer for a $700 price point: An EVGA geforce gtx 750 2gb video card, work horse AMD FX 8320 processor, standard 8 gigs of ram, USB 3.0 ports, 1 tb hard drive, 400watt power source...all parts made by well known and reputable companies as opposed to the expected no name Chinese junk you can usually find in these cut rate deals. Sadly it was assembled by baboons and had tons of things I needed to fix before the first power on that even the most ameture computer builders would have caught (and I'm not claiming to be an expert here, far from it). Among the problems I had was that three months after I got the box, it started shutting down during start up. But what was weird about this was it was unpredictable. The problem would occur in waves where it would happen several times over a week, then vanish for weeks, even months! As it was mostly not reproducible, and even when it happened it was impossible to get into the OS environment, I had a long difficult time getting any kind of measurements to actually troubleshoot the problem. Then one day the core temperature monitor I had put into startup caught the problem red handed: Indeed my processor was overheating occasionally to the terminal shut off point. The Solution I spent the next several months consulting everyone from well know tech and hardware forums who have a reputation for being excellent trouble shooters, to local repair companies. Not a single one actually knew what the problem was. They all went for the knee jerk "Your thermal paste is dried, your liquid cooler died, etc" answer. And in truth I couldn't come up with a better answer myself, but again, I don't claim to be an expert. One local company tried to charge me hundreds of dollars to repair parts that weren't even broken! Only Kinn Computers took the time to listen to me, a layman, describe this weird, sketchy problem in a nuanced way and they took that information into consideration. They discovered relatively quickly that in fact my processor wasn't over heating by physically checking the chip and its socket without relying only on the onboard sensors. The sensor was being "fooled" by inconsistent power output by a powersource that realistically shouldn't have even been in that computer as it was too weak for the hardware I had. (The standard option, btw. I made no changes to the configuration during purchase nor did anyone at the PC retailer tell me that it was unsuitable for the build. Very disappointed in this). They did all of this while being VERY willing to communicate with me, despite the fact I was frankly annoying with my game of phone tag I was playing. They described the problem in detail, their rationale for their fix, and answered my questions despite obviously being a layman. And they did it for a fair price. As far as I can tell they didn't even upsell the powersource they sold me though I gave them a very convenient opportunity to do so as bait to test them, and if they charged a markup it wasn't more than competing retailers online sell the same model for. I know just enough about computers to know when I'm being screwed. And I can say this area is absolutely LOADED with predatory computer places who try to sell things to their customers they don't need, and charge rates that are outright ridiculous to the point you may as well just get a new computer instead of paying them. ONLY Kinn Computers treated me like a person, didn't try to ta

Erik Kinn was great! I was in the area for business and caught in a pinch over the weekend. Last minute I brought my Mac to them and they were able to figure out the issue quickly which was a Windows 10 update that conflicted with my antivirus. I highly recommend anyone needing tech help/advice to reach out to these guys!
