Tried to get a blood pressure cuff with a cardiologist's script. They don't accept Medicaid insurance. Told me to pay cash instead.

My wife recently visited this establishment and spoke to a gentleman who loudly pronounced he was the owner of “this establishment”, and made assumptions to my African American wife that she was on Medicare or Medicaid. Then he told my wife that all he works with is Highmark, and never worked with her insurance before. Mind you our insurance is Capital Blue Cross? Didn’t raise his voice to anyone else, also mind you that the other patrons waiting were not a minority? My wife didn’t match his tone or vocal level, and politely dismissed herself from the situation.I can’t tell if the owner of this establishment was having a bad day. Maybe there was something else happening in his life that he presented himself this way. But I won’t waste the time making assumptions, though facts about the situation paint a very clear picture: To anyone reading this, if you are a minority, please tread with caution.My wife and I will gladly go back to CVS. At least they treat people equally, with decency, and professionalism.

This pharmacy is the best of both worlds: small enough to receive personalized, caring service like an old school neighborhood pharmacy, but large enough to deliver all the conveniences that modern technology provides. They also have medical supplies & equipment, a compounding pharmacy and delivery throughout the Lehigh Valley. The best part is their friendly knowledgeable staff. If you're tired of just being another number at a national pharmacy chain, give Hartzell's a try; you won't regret it trust me!

This is the best pharmacy i have been to. Megan helped me multiple times to get my covid test results for our flight in time even though she didnt need to. They really have amazing service!

Make an appointment and sit 15 minutes as they take walk ups after you had already checked in ….why make appointments if there is no organization.

This pharmacy probably saved my life. I am from Catasauqua and live in the Towers that has a high amount of Covid 19 infections. Not only does Hartzells deliver most of the medications free to the elderly but they went totally out of their way to help the ones that could not get out to be vaccinated through drive through hospitals and clinics. Hartzells cared enough about us to come to our building to inoculate the most vulnerable individuals in our building. I applaud them and thank them from the bottom of my heart. Who knows how many more would have perished had they not cared enough to help the helpless people. Some are deaf, some are blind, some or most are not capable of taking a bus or driving. We have a special connection with this pharmacy and anyone who lives in a small town would be so lucky to have a pharmacy as caring as Hartzells. Since the board of health has now made it more difficult for most of us in a elderly high rise to get COVID vaccines because they have decided to streamline their efforts to just the hospitals, buildings like ours will have a harder time getting vaccinated. Thank you to the Hartzells.

I needed a knee-scooter and Hartzells was the only place I could find that had one in stock.. and accepted by my insurance. Unfortunately, they would not release the equipment to me until all the paperwork was completed and that could take weeks... so they told me. Who plans to fall and break a bone? How could a person in need prepare weeks ahead? I need the scooter in a timely fashion and they are refusing to allow me to purchase it straight out of pocket. My rep at the insurance company actually told me they were confused why Hatzells wouldn't sell it to me and take my chances submitting my own claim. So, here I sit, with no mobility equipment because a service that is supposed to provide assistance, won't actually provide assistance. Red tape and BS. And the thing is.... if I had never mentioned that I had insurance, they would have sold it to me and I would now be able to get to work tomorrow. Such a shame.

Thank you so much for masking your staff. I only wish that customers were required too as imo pharmacies are like medical buildings. Your staff was helpful. I like that I can schedule a vaccine here. It was my 1st time here. It was a little hard to find.

Went in with script for compression stockings. Waited at customer service a few minutes. Lady was at computer. I said is anyone here to help me. She ignored me. Went to back by pharmacy. A woman said be with you in a minute. Showed her my scriptShe said the lady out front will help me. Told her I was waiting and no one acknowledged me. We went out to front and she said there she is she will help you. I said that is the same lady ignored me when I came in. The.lady she was busy on the computer, which I would have understood if she would have acknowledged me and said, I'll be with you in a minute. I told her I did not derserve to be ignored. I walked out. Never to go back and will leave everyone know it. It would have taken a few words - be right with you!
