“My favorite liquor store in Las Vegas, now here in Pittsburgh. The prices are still very competitive and they have good deals on seasonal liguor.Store employees are all pleasant and helpful.”
“Love coming here to peruse the shelves and get new things to try! I’m a creature of habit so being able to go and taste helps me try new things and they are always super helpful. They have a wide selection, I’m always pleased to see they have single cans just in case you don’t want to commit to a six or twelve pack of something you may not like. Also the staff is just super nice, good people, and always pleasant to talk to while you browse. This is a must visit place for non-alcoholic beverages if you’re in Pittsburgh, visitor or resident.”
“The selection of beers here is top notch. I'm a sucker for some 4 packs of local pounders, and they have some great ones. Dancing Gnome, Hitchhiker, Cinderlands, East End, they're all here. They also have domestics and lots of typical larger craft breweries 12 packs. As expected, those smaller 4, 6, and 12 packs can be a little pricey, but that's how it goes everywhere. To top it all off, the employees are super nice. Highly recommended if you value good beverages.”
“Great selection, and the fact that you can take your child with you and both walk out happy (myself with beer, them with pokemon cards) is outstanding. A+ in all aspects.”
“Beer88 is my go-to place before a party, the selection is exceptional and the staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. As a recent non-alcoholic drinker, and I was unsure if Beer88 would have anything for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing selection of so many types of non-alcoholic beer, and some non-alcoholic wine. Beer88 is my go-to for all parties from now on. Highly recommend coming to see what new selection is in store”
“Been coming here since I was a kid now only buying water but nonetheless is still a great place. It’s hard to find 5 gallon top or bottom style water cooler refills and they have it reasonably priced actual springwater and if you need some of that courage in the bottle personality enhancing nectar they got plenty of that too.. always best pricing around. And the famous one for the road slushy bar machines, someday I’ll get one”
“So good! I appreciate that they have Arsenal all over the city, but nothing like trying all the variety at the cider house itself. I love the drier stuff and the broken hearts was a winner for me. My partner got a ginger one and that was also delicious. Friendly staff and nice cozy place. Outside was spacious and we were lucky enough to snag a spot by the fire pit. A Pittsburgh must.”
“Already reviewed when the place first opened but I love coming here. It's super convenient and the staff members are super nice and always helpful. Always have a positive experience when I come here”

1304 Federal St, Pittsburgh“They had dollar tallboys of cider. Fire. Smells like cigarettes but in a warm and comforting way. Makes you wanna leave the store quickly. Keeps you on task. Great space. High ceilings.”
“Love this place! They have the best selections, great prices and awesome customer service. You can also get an alcoholic slushie to go and they do not disappoint!”
“Was a decent place to get beer until a manager told me to leave after I questioned his decision to sell beer that went from cold to warm after their fridges went out. He called me elitist for saying I write beer reviews. Not sure how you can be elitist for that, but okay. I did a bit of research on this subject after the manager responded (which was nice of him) and I stand partially corrected. It turns out that beer can go from cold to warm and not get 'skunked,' but in my experience--and many others'--there's a taste difference after going from cold to warm that's notable. It wasn't exactly cold in the shop; it was warm. But I'll err on the side of saying I have learned something from this exchange and I'll adjust my rating accordingly.”

10 Old Clairton Rd, Pittsburgh“Sometimes shop here for a holiday or special event or for a gift, though I could count the times on one hand over the past two years. Very good selection, though I would hardly think of myself as a wine expert.
They do offer tasting events. Check their website.
If you cook and use alcohol (such as cognac) in a dish, you will find a good selection of sample bottles.
You may also find a genteel employee who reminds me of a polo patron.”

4986 Library Rd, Bethel Park“These guys are the best in the area. They have amazing customer service, staff is always friendly, and they offer to hold something for you if they have it in stock and one left. I also love their commitment to having local breweries in their offerings. I try to give them all my business because they are so great to deal with. Can’t recommend them enough!”

4133 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh“As a long time Bloomfield resident I've known this locations history starting 40 years ago as a gas/service station. A few years ago the owner was having the many years of his hard work catch up. He sold the location to what is now was once a unicorn, a beer distributor with an outstanding selection sure to suit anyone's taste. And here's the real anomaly, plenty of parking!”
9AM - 9PM
1955 Wharton St, Pittsburgh“Marcy took care of me! I walked in here two days after my 21st knowing nothing about anything. She was so sweet, she really set me up right. Respected my budget and was genuinely excited to show me to where the good stuff was. I'm telling all my friends this is the spot. Thanks for a hype bday Marcy!”
“These folks are always so very helpful when I'm looking for new NA brews. They were fantastic with helping my brother in law who's up from Virginia with a selection of Pittsburgh beers to take back to the Steelers fans there. Just outstanding!”
“Well worth my Uber ride from my hotel. Great selection. The guys were knowledgeable, friendly and I loved their suggestions. I went with the Troeganator and Mad Elf. Took some back to Arkansas!”
“My go to for German beers, they also have a bunch of harder to find beers. The staff is very knowledgeable and the new owner is very willing to look for beers they don't have.”
“Since moving into the Emsworth/Ben Avon/Bellevue area (2019), I have bought my ciders and hard lemonade from only Shadeland. Every person who works there is helpful, courteous, and friendly -- no doubt trickle-down from Michelle!”
“A shout out to the hardest working and most philanthropic beer distributor in Western Pennsylvania. They have donated thousands of cans of beer to a nonprofit I volunteer for, this is a great organization. They also carry amazing brews, just every craft brewery that you know and love. They have been in Millvale since 1933, which means they have survived multiple floods and one fire, and still they are loyal to Millvale, which means a lot to that community.”
“Great drive thru experience!! Staff had masks and gloves. I personally had a list in my trunk, ID and credit card. They pulled my order and put payment back in trunk. NO CONTACT! Great prices and huge selection!”
“My second time there. Tried the new smash burger and it was delicious! The fries were a little too salty for my taste, but still very good. Also had the Blueberry Wheelie cocktail which was a perfect combo of sweet and tart. Both of my visits have been a great experience.”
“A good liquor store in a historical part of town. Over 100 years ago this place was known as Rothman's Restaurant and Bar. Here's an awesome street view image that shows what this same area looked like way back in 1909. It was famous for good whiskey and Baeuerlein Beer was on draught at that time.”
“Lovely location with an awesome staff. Had a family member get sick over the holidays and Melanie was wonderful. She was able to locate my order over the phone and return two of the unused bottles in store. She never hesitated to search for my order and print my receipt, when I was the one who declined the receipt at the time of purchase. Never have we returned liquor, but with the stomach bug, we couldn’t risk our friends/family getting sick. We are not big drinkers outside of holidays, so to get the $70 back was very nice. 10/10 would recommend. Clean facility, great selection, and thoughtful team members.”
“Super professional, always courteous, and the one woman ,Kris she is absolutely beautiful my son James has the biggest crush on her we work for the person who owns the building so we dee what goes on behind the scenes and its a great place”
“Picked up a couple cases of Irons here on my way through Pittsburgh, can't say enough good about the place! Friendly, fast, and helpful. Asked if they had cases if IC, the fellow there said, "Well, yeah!" I shoulda known haha. Grabbed a couple and headed out, caught them right before they closed, but no problems.”
“One of my favorite places for having a catalog of wines from all over the world and with a wide spectrum of prices! For all pockets!!! They have a team always willing to help and very trained! And the best thing is that every week they educate their clients for free with wine tastings where knowledge, culture, anecdotes and palate training are mixed.”
“Not just a great place for beer (they have a real nice selection), but a great place for soda pop too. My go to place when I need a case of locally-made Red Ribbon Pop (I special ordered the Bitter Lemon, but some flavors are in stock), or Mexican Coke (made with real sugar and no HFCS), in glass bottles. Friendly staff ... Cheers!!”
