“We stopped in Pittsburgh during our road trip from Toronto to Charleston, SC and stayed at The Priory Hotel on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.We hadn't booked a hotel when we left home, just because we never know how far we're going to be able to drive. Sometimes we get tired sooner rather than later...and other times, we end up pushing through for a few more hours. So, we try not to book and book on the way. This is what we did this time too. We called The Priory and told them we'd be arriving by midnight and if they had a room for us. Thankfully, they had a King room, so we booked it on the spot.Parking is very convenient. Just across the street and is included in your stay...as is a cute little takeaway breakfast the next morning. The check-in process was very easy and quick. Our room was extremely clean and spacious. They've done a lovely job of restoring this beautiful old building into large rooms that are very comfortable and convenient. The next morning, we went to pick up our takeaway breakfast and were back on the road for the rest of our trip. We'll definitely be staying at The Priory Hotel any time we're in the area or even passing through. Highly recommend!”

“The Brownsville Road House is the best Bed and Breakfast in the Pittsburgh region!! We had a fantastic stay in the beautiful historic mansion. Every room has its own unique personality! The owner was so welcoming and did everything to make us comfortable during our stay. His homemade breakfast was simply perfect with the parfait, special egg dish (with a secret ingredient) and potatoes. Bob really makes everyone feel like they are a special guest when staying here. We are so thankful we didn't stay at a hotel for this trip! And best of all, our golden loved it too!

Rooms: The rooms are so rich in history. Absolutely comfy beds too!”

“This hotel is a great place to stay in. The workers are kind and the breakfast is great. There is also a pool and a gym to pass time. The rooms are nice but could be a bit cleaner. There are many things very close to it too which is nice. Over all I had a great stay.”

“The Parador Inn in Pittsburgh, PA, is a charming and unique place to stay, full of character and history. Three of us spent a delightful weekend there and left thoroughly impressed (May 10 to 12th, 2024).The Inn is housed in a historic mansion that dates back to 1870. Originally built by Charles J. Clarke, a prominent Pittsburgh industrialist, the building exudes the grandeur of a bygone era with its beautiful Victorian architecture and detailed craftsmanship.Ed Menzer, the owner and manager, deserves special mention. His warmth and hospitality made our stay even more memorable. Ed's dedication to maintaining the inn’s historic charm while providing modern comforts is evident. His personal touch and attention to detail created a welcoming atmosphere. Our rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, each with its unique theme and character. The common areas were equally impressive, offering cozy spots to relax and enjoy the inn's ambiance (we especially enjoyed meeting and sitting and chatting in the parlor). The gardens and inviting outdoor spaces are great and the B&B is located within an easy walk to good restaurants and the Andy Warhol Museum. We visited Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, which were about an hour drive. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable lodging experience in Pittsburgh. We look forward to returning in the future.Thank you Ed.”

“This will surely remain one of the all time great, memorable hotel stays of my life. The building, its history, and the beautiful neighbourhood (and city!) are reason enough, but Karl and Jeff are also such friendly, interesting people. It also feels luxurious but wasn’t expensive. I highly recommend this inn to anybody coming through Pittsburgh.

Nearby activities: Easy walking distance to great museums and shops, and next to a beautiful park”

“We highly recommend Pittsburgh's Grand Hall for your wedding!!!!! Every single guest mentioned how beautiful the venue was, and how well-run and organized the venue handled our wedding. Not to mention The Priory hotel is attached which was convenient for our out of town guests! There was nothing more we could have asked for. The wedding packages were very inclusive, and everything ran like clockwork!”

“We stayed in a 2 Queen guestroom. Room clean and modern. Fantastic view. Staff professional and pleasant. Minor hiccups taken care of efficiently. Good location - felt safe walking around outdoors. Easy drive to everything. Parking for a fee in adjacent lot or parking deck right across the street. Easy in and out with the car - just have parking ticket stamped upon checking in. Walking distance to restaurants such as Hard Rock Cafe, Grand Concourse and more. Walking distance to Monongahela Incline that takes you to incredible views of the city. We didn't use the pool, but it looked inviting. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.”

“The room was pretty decent. It did have a strange smell when I first got to the room but it did go away after some time. The toilet did make a loud noise after being flushed and the water pressure wasn’t the best but I got the job done. I did wish that the shop inside was open a little later as I wasn’t able to visit there to get drinks or snacks. I liked that you could walk across to Terminal B. Overall, a good stay if you’re wanting to stay close to the airport.”

“Rooms were clean and friendly staff. Pool looked a bit cloudy and maybe could have used some chemical treatment. It’s in a busy area but not too bad to get in and out of. Low cost stay and close to downtown!”

“I stayed in a suite March 16 just for the night. Needed to catch shuttle at 7:15 to airport and was only in the room for about 12 hours. Did not know it had a kitchenette, which unfortunately I did not need, so I’m assuming that’s why I had to place $100 deposit. It’s only been 2 days and I’m sure it’ll be returned to my account soon, I hope. Lol. Very nice people at desk. Shuttle was very convenient.Rooms: Dated, but clean.”

“Rooms were big, and the bar downstairs was delicious. Make sure you get the breakfast burrito?. Sucks that there is no food places or store walking distance from the hotel.”

“Why 5 stars? The staff!!!! Danny and Blaze are two of the nicest hotel staff you will ever meet. Seriously these guys need to be recognized on a national level by Marriott. Huge shout out also to Dianne, Bryson and Lynn. Clean hotel, friendly staff, And excellent food! We will definitely be back! Oh and the blue cheese dressing is out of this world. Danny deserves a Michelin star for that!Rooms: They were like the best rooms ever. Interesting designNearby activities: 15 minutes from the STEELERS. Say no more fam!Safety: Let me start by saying I NEVER leave my wife alone at a bar. On the second night I had to get up briefly to use the rest room and there were some other people at the bar/bistro there I didn’t know yet, and I felt so safe and secure knowing Danny was there. That’s trust, man!Food & drinks: The food was fantastic! Actually skipped going back to the city in favor of these tasty treats. Danny and blaze know how to cook!”

“Dave was awesome, as well as the ladies at the check-in desk. Room was clean and nice, proximity to downtown amenities was perfect and parking was ample. Our only complaint was someone else's child pooped in the pool, so it was closed for the duration of our stay. Obviously not something the hotel can control.Proximity to the highway could be noisy if you're sensitive to it, but it didn't bother us.The deck next door had free EV charging too, which was great.”

“Gorgeous hotel. Great staff, beautiful rooms-including the rain shower head. Easy access to the airport. Amenities were good including an upgraded refrigerator with a glass door in the room. The only thing missing, a microwave in the room. But unless you’re staying more than one night, not really an issue. Definitely recommend!”

“I was told by an IHG hotel rep over the phone that this hotel has EV charging available at parking. That is the main reason I booked this hotel. There is no EV charging. Parking is across the street in a separate city parking lot, which costs $29 for the night. That said, the hotel is fairly solid. The rooms, furniture, and services are higher quality than what I usually experience in the $100-200 range. The shower had modern fixtures, the room had RGB mood lighting, the outlets were updated with USB, and the room was fitted with fitness equipment built right in.The location, besides the parking, is excellent, within easy walking distance for a lot of good food, drink, and shopping. As far as negatives, besides the parking, my view was not great. Out my windows was a depressing, featureless concrete courtyard. The hotel lobby is also on the 5th floor, which was confusing - not a big deal, but better signage to indicate where to go would have helped.”

“The location is near airport. The building is old, but the rooms were clean, spacious, had all that’s required for a comfortable stay. The service was great, I forgot toothpaste & they got up there in a jiffy to provide it. Checking in and out was smooth. The breakfast was excellent & hot.Rooms: Spacious rooms, mine had a king bed. Good shower, basin, sofa, work station & a kitchenette.Food & drinks: The cafe was good.Breakfast had the usual stuff, juice, pork sausages, potato triangles, eggs, waffles, yogurt etc.”

“This hotel is located in Pittsburgh. It was easy to get to located on just across the river from the city. 5 Stars ? ? baby! Why? Because the staff were very accommodating and easy to work with. We had just driven 5 hours from Virginia to get there, wasn't tired, but was ready for a King sized bed to rest and a place to eat. ??. 5 Stars ? ? as we were not disappointed for what we found. The atmosphere was quiet, food was fantastic. You could dine in or have it brought to your room. We dined in. Wish I could have stayed longer ?, but I was headed to Michigan. My son had a major operation at Henry Ford Hospital. So with a fantastic night's rest, we go off without any problems. When you're there, be sure to grab a room with a king-sized bed. It will sssssoooooo good ?. Got to close my eyes. Made it to Michigan without any problems. My son had a successful aneurysm repair. Thank you Jesus! There were family and friends praying all across the landscape from various faiths that it came out well. Not sure who you are or where you are going or have been. I just know I've got a friend who I too can call on in the midst of a storm to hear my cry. I'm praying that if you read this, and if you too need a friend. Just call out to him and he'll be there to for you. I pray that you'll have a successful day. Thank you for letting me share...going back to sleep ? now, because tomorrow, my son will get to go home. Be cool ?, follow me and I'll do my best to keep you posted on my next venture back home to Virginia. Ciao ?!

Rooms: Fantastic!

Safety: No problems. Great surroundings!

Food & drinks: More than you will need.

Noteworthy details: Pool plus gym...with all that you'll need.”
