“Happy tears! I was so moved by this piece of art I had put together by Jeff for our family. We had gone to Disney where our youngest had his “first haircut” done and I wanted to have the moment commemorated. I am floored by the skill and craftsmanship in this shadowbox, it had some tricky pieces (the Mickey ears hat and keepsake baby hair) but Jeff was able to display everything beautifully. This is top notch work of exceptional quality and I am so happy my kiddos memories are able to be displayed with such care. Everything went above and beyond!”

“Honestly, this was one of the best kinds of experiences best seen in person and not through a picture. Through the entire walk through, there are no dull spots. Everywhere you look has a bright, colorful creation. I'd love to come back and see new creations added in the future! I would also love to experience this at different times of day and different seasons and see how different the art reflects! Hands down a favorite place to visit.”

You never feel rushed because he wants you to be satisfied with your choice. He has a great aesthetic eye for matching an artwork with a frame so that it compliments and highlights, but does not detract from the image. I highly recommend J.J. “A beautifully morbid collection of items. There's high priced items for collectors, smaller items for gifts or souvenirs, and an interesting display of things not for sale. As an out of state visitor, it was worth the time to visit. I hope to come back one day!”
“I stopped in randomly making my way through The Strip District a few months ago. After looking at his work, I felt I had found the right person to make the urn for my father's remains. My father died 7 years ago, so you can imagine I've been looking for a while. He was kind and respectful, and our whole encounter, he was honest about what he could and couldn't do.He reached out when it was completed, but I was in the middle of a bunch of different crises. He held it for over a month, waiting for me to be able to get there without ever pressuring me. I finally picked it up today. It is exactly what I wanted simple but one of a kind.”
“Despite the bright panels on the outside, Irma Freeman Center for the Imagination is in many ways a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of place. Even after having been past it on foot several times, I often had fairly little idea what it was. My first impression was that it might be a community center for disabled or destitute youths, and therefore somewhere that serves a valuable cultural function but in which I have no place. I was very incorrect in this assumption, as I found out later. One day, while the doors were open, I walked in. I was treated to a private, minimalistic indie gallery featuring work by local artists. At the time, the exhibit focused principally on abandoned sites in the Pittsburgh area, with photographs giving an eerie portrait of the region's history. It was as though the photographers were archaeologists documenting recent times that have fallen into obscurity and ruin. This is of course not the only exhibit: Irma Freeman's collections, ever changing, deal with a number of different artists and themes. Gift shop at the front door and opening night receptions every First Friday of the month. Strongly recommend!”

“Jason is such a cool guy and stellar tattoo artist! I found him after searching for someone who I could feel confident about their line work and ability to punch in color. I had never been inked and went in terrified. Yep, I found myself hyperventilating but I sat for the process because I knew the finished product would be something worth the pain (I’m a weenie, Jason isn’t heavy handed or anything). Also, to anyone with melanated and darker complexions, I can attest that Jason produces legible and beautifully saturated works. Thank you again, Artisan!”

“I visited Sweetwater a few years ago for a pottery throwing class and I had the best time! We spent a good deal of time learning and throwing and then we had several pieces at the end of the workshop that we were able to come back and pick up! I'm interested in trying some of their other classes now. As an adult, it's intimidating to learn a new skill and find somewhere to go that's affordable and friendly. This place was perfect!!! I went for a date and would recommend it as a cute date night or a place to go with friends.”

“During my recent visit to the Eclectic Art & Objects Gallery inPittsburgh to drop off a landscape painting for restoration, I wasdelighted to find your collection of African Art & artifacts displayedin the new Art-In-Place gallery Showroom. After viewing the variousexamples and reading the background literature and provenance of theitems, I came away with a new appreciation for the highly stylized andunique examples of African Kuba Cloth fabrics, ancient pottery designs,carved ritual masks, and even the more contemporary African paintings.We love the Art-in-place exhibition concept as well as the unique "Try nBuy, Audition Offer" including the lovely Kuba Cloth that I will betrying out in my home. “This is a new and innovative gallery and art studio in Coraopolis. I've met the owners and the are enthusiastic and nice. Besides the gallery space, they teach art classes and you can drop in at various times for open studio. I attended their grand opening last night and it was wall to wall people, just amazing how many people turned out. The gallery is part of some exciting changes in the neighborhood. A new coffee shop is opening right next door, and a brewery is opening across the street.”
