They would not let me get a PO Box because I get them free on base however I was willing to pay to have a PO Box at this location because I prefer off base. I was turned away quickly the representative did not try to help at all. Extremely rude and knowledgeable. I will be requesting a refund online.

These people do Not answer the phones at ALL. They have located my package and have not called me back to confirm the new tracking number. This place needs a new set of staff like yesterday, no wonder they have a 2.4 star rating.

Terrible. We got a PO Box here and have had at least 5 pieces of mail on our Informed Delivery never get put in the box. On top of that, we are constantly getting the wrong mail, and the addresses on these wrong mailpieces are nowhere close to our PO Box! I've talked to a clerk multiple times and they just blame Harrisburg for losing mail. But my mail at home comes from Harrisburg, and I have had 0 issues with them or my Informed Delivery. Something fishy is going on here.

The neighbor moved their mailboxes because of where the post office wanted them but now it’s almost impossible to see to get out of my driveway without pulling into oncoming traffic. (Which on the Harrisburg pike is not safe in any way shape or form) The staff at the counter could use some customer relations training. The men act like they’re better than anyone else and their demeanor is very condescending. The mailman also keeps delivering our packages to the neighbors house instead of looking at the address on the package.

Very efficient and helpful with all my questions on shipping my overseas package. Caleb was outstanding at his job.

Carlisle has the worst postal service of anywhere I have lived or worked! No delivery, no pickup, our mail being delivered to our neighbors regularly, delivery driver constantly leaves the mailbox OPEN when it's raining to ruin the mail, no one ever answers the phone. I don't think they get anything right. AND they are a cranky, arrogant bunch of garbage when you complain about their HORRIBLE service. They are a caricature of everything that is wrong with the government, the USPS and THE USA!!!

I would avoid this place and go somewhere else. They will have lengthy frivolous conversations that cause lines 10 deep. Like seriously nobody wants to wait 10-20 minutes at the post office while the person at the counter has a 15 minute conversation with someone.

Visiting the Carlisle Post Office on Louther Street is exactly like going back in time to the 1970’s. It smells like an old school post office and it is just as inefficient as I remember it to be back when I was a little kid.

Extremely rude staff. I asked for a simple request to pick up priority mail and due to their own mistake, they were being rude to me to pay an additional $8 postage fee. I didn’t have to pay the fee but the entire experience was awful and the staff, including the supervisor, was being rude to me even though I was cooperative and was asking them to do a simple task.

Not helpful at all they never try to help the customer. I needed to send a package out and they had NO tape to put on the return address. They are a waste of tax payers money and time.

My carrier has a serious attitude problem. Destroys the mail because I have a small mailbox and bent the door so badly the lock no longer works correctly. Can't even get a supervisor because the number and front desk guy just give you a run around. They must be really miserable with their job with such little integrity, sad.

If you have a small side business, packages can be dropped off and placed in a small area on the counter within the Post Office before being scanned. However, customers have no way of knowing, (sometimes for days), whether a package was scanned, or even received. Packages just pile up on the counter and the customer has no receipt assuring them that their property is now in the hands of U.S. post office personnel. You just leave your package in an unsecured area hoping that it will end up in the hands of a professional by end of shift. This is an incredibly inefficient, risky, and primitive way to do business. No other business operates this way. When you drop something off, the Post Office should provide you with some type of a receipt acknowledging that they now have your property and are responsible for it. Whether they use a self scanning system, or a simpler method, something needs to be put in place to make customers feel comfortable about leaving their property at the Carlisle Post Office facility. It's more than just a professional courtesy. It's good business!
