I just moved into the area and went into purchase a washer and dryer. I've never been treated so rudely. The salesman was frustrated because he has to work at Lowe's to get a discount and doesn't understand how military/veterans can get that same benefit very disappointing to say the least. I absolutely could not buy anything from him and walked out of there straight into Home Depot! Had a wonderful experience at Home Depot

I went to the Lowes store in Carlisle, Pa. today . Sept, 27 at around 1 pm. While I was in the store and at the check out a young man had this big Germany Shepherd dog with him. It was out of control and at the checkout it was parking and getting out of control. Lowes need to stop allowing all these Dogs coming into the store. One of these times somebody is going to get bitten . I hope it is not me because I will see my attorney and file a law suit against Lowes for allowing these non service dogs into their store. No one needs to bring in dogs and cats to a store unless these people are disabled. These people can walk, talk, drive a car but they say they need a Dog with them because of emotional support. I go to food places and dogs are eating off the table or the floor. Law makers need to change this law and stop these non disabled people doing this.

Purchasing a side-by-side refrigerator from the Lowe's in Carlisle has been an absolute nightmare from the very beginning. I'll begin by saying that my husband and I are new homeowners and the fridge in the house we bought broke so we obviously had to purchase a new one. We took EXACT measurements and purchased one from Lowe's and set a delivery date. That delivery date came (both my husband and I had to take off work mind you) and the fridge had a dent on the front so we did not accept it and requested a new one. Fast forward to yesterday, about a week later and two different delivery men came with our new fridge. We do have stairs and it's a townhouse, however this is by all means NOT the first time a large chain home improvement store has delivered appliances. One of the men was very, very rude and kept complaining that he "was already in trouble for scuffing someone's wall during a delivery and they were trying to charge $300 in damages" so he flat out refused to bring the new fridge up the stairs. I think maybe the BEST part of this entire situation is that the other delivery man had already cut all of the water lines and electric lines to our old fridge (I believe they do this when they are going to be removing old appliances so they can't be resold) which is now just sitting in the middle of our kitchen, unusable and taking up a ton of space. Lowe's has now asked us to hire and pay for a carpenter to remove our railing and that will be the only way they will bring in the new refrigerator. Currently, the new refrigerator is now in our downstairs garage basement. This has been a horrible experience and I will caution everyone who is planning on making any large appliance purchase from Lowe's (or any expensive purchase from them for that matter). Basically just picture the worst case scenario and you won't me disappointed. Don't set high or even mediocre expectations.

I used their fence installation this September and it was not done until November. The installer only worked a total of 3hrs a day and was a real slick talker. He charged me personally extra money away from the original contract and so did the Carlisle Store as well. The signed contract meant nothing. The time frame was short due to dogs on site. Not even considered by Lowes. Also the sale men refused to talk to me after the contract was signed and paid for. The job was terrible and the dogs are always going under the fence because it was strung loosely. The left over material was taken by the installer and the refund for excess was so minimal it was laughable. Lowes refused to deal with the theft or the additional charges. NEVER USE LOWES FOR INSTALLATION!!!!

My experience was a strange one, my wife and I were looking for a shed. After asking customer service where i could purchase one, they sent me to the lawn care / outdoor section. Asked the lady at the register, who then had to call a guy who's name tag said JJ over. I told JJ which one i was looking for, and asked him for a discount, which is a common practice of mine, who said there was no damage to the box so. I told him i negotiate with retailers regularly (i felt i had been nothing but polite up to this point) he puffed out his chest at me and said "your not gonna negotiate with me!". Which really agitated me. I then asked his boss Scott for a discount who I'm not sure if was rude, or if i was just really PO'd, but invited me to look elsewhere. I felt i was never rude, but was treated with a great deal of disrespect. The funny thing is they had a 10% off coupon online anyway, so they could have just given me that, or at the very least been professional and respectful, i dont think thats too much to ask.

My wife and I have had great experiences with this Lowes location. We just recently purchased a new washer and dryer here and our salesman was not only helpful, but he spent at least an hour with us discussing the pros and cons of several models. We ended up purchasing units that were less expensive than we originally thought we would thanks to his guidance! Overall friendly staff and the pricing is pretty comparable to any other chain home improvement store. They also do classes which we're looking forward to trying out this summer!

Issues: Ordered a new Range and Refrigerator, at the same time. Range came in on time. Fridge took about six weeks. I was told that there was a back-order on this model, after I had already paid for it. I checked with other local stores, and was told by one they had it in stock, same day delivery (hhgregg), another said it would be a two day delivery (Home Depot). I'm not sure who Lowes uses, for their warehouse stock, but it seems they need to check into someone else. Flip side: Most of my experiences are good. I'll just do a better job at asking specific questions when ordering a major appliance from now on, and Lowes will not be my first thought.

Good prices and a variety of plants, but until they get rid of the fungus gnats that are swarming, I will not be purchasing.

Worst appliance purchase experience. We bought a new dryer, and were given a two hour window in the morning for delivery. After that two hour window passed, the delivery guys called and gave us another two hour delivery window for the afternoon. After THAT delivery window passed, we got ANOTHER call with another two hour window. Called the store to complain, and they did give us a discount, which mollified us somewhat, UNTIL I went to use the BRAND NEW DRYER and found that it had obviously been USED. There was fiber and hair in the interior, as well as a small paint chip. I am done with Lowe's. Even with the discount I paid new price for a used dryer. Update: We complained again, and they did wind up charging us the floor model price, but I still think it was dishonest-- if we hadn't complained, they would happily have charged us full price.

Absolutely a miserable experience today. All I wanted was a price match on a 4.00 part and they we're over charging more that double anywhere else around (9.66) I don't mine paying a little more but when it is double I wanted to bring it to their attention. I was met with nothing but sarcasm and bad attitude by the girl at the service desk and the asst. manager. Very disappointed because I am a very good customer and frequent this store weekly. But the Store manager really needs to talk to his staff about customer relations. Unprofessional and immature.

It's mid-February and all I want in life in a snow shovel. But alas, even with the myriads of snow storms we've had this winter, I was informed by an employee that Lowe's is not only sold out of snow shovels, but will not be restocking them this season. Clearly, this branch did not get the memo that Punxsutawney Phil recently predicted another six weeks of Winter. This is evidenced by the fact that the employee I talked to informed me that they would soon be selling patio furniture. I know I am only one of many who has experienced the injustice of being denied a snow shovel this Winter season. I give one extra star on my rating for the chagrin on the employee's face as he was forced to tell me they had no more snow shovels. It's okay, sir. It's not your fault.

I have been shopping here since they opened. I have never had any complaints except for their large appliance department. I recently bought a new washer and dryer. The guys who delivered it literally climbed over my two new machines after hooking them up in back instead of using longer hoses. I could not believe my eyes. This after buying $2,000 worth of appliances. They dented the tops of both and then dented another by pushing on the center of the panel with their knees. They replaced the one machine (not leveling them as a pair, the guy said that the dryer must be taller than the washer) (give me a break! they are same height) but I am still waiting on the new top for the other machine. I have had to call and stop in but have been given absolutely no follow-up. This has been 3+ months. Plus the sales guy said I could use regular detergent, it's the same as high efficiency detergent, just use less. I knew he didn't know what he was talking about. HE detergents do not have the additives for sudsing and by not using the proper detergent, the clothes will not wash properly and you could cause problems with your machine. They need to educate their salespeople and hire professional delivery people.
