“Although pricier and more boutique than some of the other antique malls in the area, the selection is great, the vendors are beyond friendly, and there’s a good variety to be found here.”
“I enjoyed the town of Carisle and the antique malls. Northgate was ok but I find that many antique malls have trouble finding quality venders. 3 stars for Northgate and 5 stars for Carlisle as a good antique location. Where I live in Canada not so much.”
“This furniture salvage store is heavily loaded with antique furniture. They have a great selection. A "must stop in" in your travels on I-81.Unlike other stores this type, there are no individual booths. The entire store inventory is solely for sale from the owners of this establishment. When you are done, go next door to the pizzeria, for some delicious Italian pies ? ?”
“I recently purchased an antique grandfather clock from Antiques on Hanover. Because this was a large purchase and a big commitment, I had many questions. Ellen and George were very helpful the whole way through. From arranging to ship the clock to Ohio, to helping me with fine tuning the clock once I had it in my home. I truly appreciate their great customer service! I only regret that I found their site now when they are retiring! I thank you both again for the lovely experience and I will enjoy my clock for many years!”
“I antique quite a bit, this is hands down one of my favorite stores to visit, the owners have a great eye, wonderful displays, historical knowledge, and the building itself is just amazing. NOTE: check hours of operation prior to going!”
“Bigger than I expected! Some booths are well laid out, lots you’d have to pick through (half the fun!), and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
Some of the pricing seemed a bit high throughout, specifically on books. Example: a 1955 hardcover on Bolívar in decent shape for $20. Another booth had a hardcover of Carlisle Old and New, 75th Anniversary Edition for $18 or $20. Most hardcovers (no matter how obscure) were at least $12.
Still a great place to find some interesting pieces, or at the very least entertain your eyes. Due to the size of the place, plan on at least 1-2 hours, unless you’re looking for a very specific piece… then double that. =)”
