The staff was outstanding - very friendly, welcoming and caring. Dr. Lewis was thorough and took the necessary steps to diagnose one of our cats. We received feedback the next day as promised. I am so glad that we found Allen Road Vet Clinic and we look forward to future visits. Thank you to everyone who serviced us.

I have mixed feeling about Allen Road Veterinary Clinic. The vet techs and receptionist are very friendly. Though, after my dog was given the wrong vaccination I did look for a new vet. Sadly, no one was accepting new patients. However, my main concern was an interaction I had with a vet who I will call Dr. Doom. My dog saw Dr. Doom a few times with no issues. In fact, one visit Dr. Doom said how my dog was in such great shape you’d never know that he was as old as he was. But the very next visit Dr. Doom REPEATEDLY told me that my dog was so old he’d probably be dead in a year or two. I guess ageism starts at 12 years old (may vary with species/breed). Someone did suggest that maybe Dr. Doom was having an off day. Well, I wasn’t at the top of the world at that time either. I was grieving the recent loss of my grandpa, my dad and my parents’ dog (who was like a family dog) but I didn’t use that as an excuse to go to my place of employment and unprofessionally tell everyone that their loved ones will soon die. I left crying and had anxiety fearing my dog’s death for months after that visit. I eventually felt better but then it came time for my dog’s annual vet visit. The anxiety came back. I kept putting it off. Eventually I made an appointment and had the genius idea to just ask for a different vet. So my dog saw Jennifer Troxel. She was great. She’s friendly. She’s knowledgeable. And not once did she predict my dog’s death (and we’ve seen her a few times). Dr. Troxel is the vet for me. I’d recommend her. Of course, if you’re thick skinned with a young pet and a fondness for amateur fortune tellers maybe Dr. Doom is the vet for you.

1 star is too high. Completely unprofessional and rude. Negligent to animals. I watched a technician pull a dog out of the back of a car and let him hit the concrete. All the while my cat, with a history of aggression only during vet visits, could be heard howling from the back room. We have been trying to get him in for bloodwork for weeks now, every time being rescheduled due to ignorance on their part. They mixed up medicines and administration times twice now. This time, after 5 minutes into the visit they decided to reschedule because he was being aggressive and bit the technician. I tell them every time we go in that he has a history of biting and scratching and that they need to wear PPE before handling him. They were completely unprofessional in handling this situation, discussing his medical issues in the waiting room instead of pulling us aside. Today again they tell me that we were “misinformed” about medicine and administration times and tell me something opposite of what they said last time.
Only bring your animal here if you don’t care about their health and wellbeing. I will be switching Vets

I just adopted a rescue kitty. I tried calling around to different vets which all weren't taking new patients. I called here and they were able to get my kitty in the same week! Very nice people as well ?

Greedy! Don’t dare miss a nail clipping over a stroke. That $16 is EVERYTHING to them, even leaving a rude msg on my voicemail. Charged me so much money to address my dogs anxiety issue and then just told me to get a dog trainer (which I did) and even he suggested medication for her anxiety. Trust me, you can find a better vet for you fur babies. This place is all about the money.

I have been taking my dog Bowie to the Allen Road Vet Clinic for several years now. The vet staff is wonderful! I would highly recommend this vet!
