Lady on the phone was rude. Don’t waste your time calling if you need a part shipped. They advertise that they ship parts, but not worth her time to deal with me.

Great service, what more can you ask for in todays world of lazy people? Keep up the great work.

SCAM ARTIST!!!!SCAM ARTIST!!!!SCAM ARTIST!!!! Contacted heidelburg about some of his so called inventory. His prices are what any garage of merit can get through a dealership. some of the dealers have said he is like a pre madonna to work with and is excruciatingly demanding. he buys everything then marks it up on his own. do yourself a favor and call a dealer to get a price. this man is not a pleasant individual by any means.

I contacted Heidelberg Automotive as I came across a door interchange for a 1986/87 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Coupe Landau that was listed on a national automotive part search. These doors are extremely hard to find, rust free. I contacted them via phone and was kindly directed to Dean as I wanted more information on the part as the part was listed as no damage or rust. Dean quickly sent over the photos of the door, and we aren't talking just one or two photos, we are talking 12+ high resolution photos. The photos were e-mailed to me with a narrative describing any "shopping cart" dings in the door, as well as photos of the bottom lip where they tend to rust out. Dean was knowledgeable on these large 1980's GM doors, so that helped greatly as he knew exactly where to provide close-up photos. The door they had was mentioned it was from their Arizona inventory and stored indoors in their Pennsylvania location. The photos were acceptable for my standards (high) as I am restoring the vehicle. Dean ran me through the cost of freight, which included cost of labor to build the crate, cost of materials to build the crate and freight charges themselves. I am in New York, and wasn't able to pick-up in person for the cost of the crate and freight. Additional photos were supplied of the crate, door inside the crate and the crate all packaged ready for the freight carrier. It took about 24-48 hours after I accepted the terms for the crate to be shipped. I received the door, in the same condition as the photo detail described while it was at their facility. The crate was well made, they were not messing around, which was constructed of 2x12 dimensional lumber for the frame and OSB for the front and back. In addition, the amount and size of the nails holding the crate together were impressive. No skimping using cheap small nails that are easy to pop during shipping. I was impressed. Finding a salvage yard to ship such a large heavy object is hard to find. I've come across matching doors from other salvage yards and they either don't want to ship anything (local only, even for paying customers, etc.) or they don't have the means to even provide photos! I would definitely do business again, and just wish they also had a driver side door just as clean as I would have purchased both at the same time!

Horrible people to deal with. The woman that worked there started getting impatient and irritated because I was asking about shipping prices and options. Reminded me of the teenagers and kids I work with just impatient and couldn't handle stress. One of the guys that works there named Dean was very rude had a bad attitude I was trying to get a good deal on shipping and he told me it was ups or that he was going to unpack the part and put it back on the shelf if I kept wasting his time. horrible customer service I feel bad for the folks who live nearby and have to deal with them.
