I had an amazing experience with Rosie at Shoefly/Appalachian Running Company. I went in knowing I needed new sneakers, and took an insert I had just purchased from my podiatrist. I had been a devotee of one brand, but I told her I had an open mind. She had me stand on the Aetrex machine to identify pressure points and foot structure. She provided a good explanation of my issues and brought me several different brands to try. She took the time to let me try the shoes on with the insert I took, with an Aetrex insert, and without any insert. I had plenty of time to walk around the store to try these different options and at no time did I feel pressured to buy a specific shoe or a new insert. My comfort was Rosie’s only concern. We hit on the perfect combination of my insert with a different brand of sneaker. Such great service! Thank you, Rosie!

I definitely miss the old store and my friend John. While the help was nice enough, I was certain there was not a clear understanding for what I was looking for and the foot problems I had.Not sure I will be returning

My wife and I stopped in the Shoe Fly / Appalachian Running Company Store in Camp Hill, PA on December 6, 2023. I had the great pleasure of being helped by the store’s GM, Bob Clark. Bob is a great guy, extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful. This was a great shopping experience. Nicely done, Bob!

Was at Camp Hill location on 11.5 to purchase a pair of sneakers. Stood there for 25 minutes watching people come.in after me get waited on. Staff did not acknowledge me and after three times of being overlooked we left. Perhaps you should think about getting a system in place when people come in that they are acknowledged and you are waited on accordingly

Bob was super helpful. I went in for a pair of Birkenstocks. He asked if I needed any help and then brought out a few colors of the style and size I needed. He even readjusted all the straps so they were my size when I tried them on. He was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I absolutely love my new pair of Birks. They are so comfy. I will definitely go back for another pair at some point.

Excellent customer service from the staff. A friend recommended this place and I decided I have nothing to lose. Went in, immediately was greeted and treated like a valued client. They listened to my issue, measured and took scans of my feet, informed me of options, recommended certain size changes, orthotics, and shoe type. The orthotics combined with the shoes were incredible. The shoes made such a difference that I immediately purchased them and, weeks later, have zero regrets. It’s one of those moment that once you are exposed to quality footwear/orthotics that are appropriate for your needs, there is no going back. Places like this are worth making a trip for if you’ve never done it.

I just left here after trying on a pair of Birkenstocks. The older man who helped me was nice enough at first but as I was done trying on the shoes I said I didn't care for how they fit. Then he mentioned how tired he was, qualifying it by saying 'I'm too tired to argue with a woman.' I asked him if he would like me to go find a guy for him to argue with instead. Instead of a good hearted laugh or acknowledgement that his comment was not appropriate he let the response hang in the air before reiterating how tired he was.It's always fun to run into casual sexism while shoe shopping. Oh wait, it wasn't fun at all.
