I love the positive environment and atmosphere here. While there is usually a wait—up to 15 minutes just to check in, 30 minutes to get called back, and another 30 minutes to be seen—this is understandable given the current challenges medical facilities face. My visit today started at 8:15 AM and ended at 9:40 AM.
I was pleased to see they are training two new front desk associates, which should hopefully improve wait times. The younger front desk staff were excellent, though there were issues with a young blonde with glasses who was rude to an older man, and an older staff member who was inattentive and distracted. Even the kind young lady who checked me in noticed this.
Despite these concerns, I’m excited about the new staff. The trainees seemed eager and personable. I also appreciate Nicole Cook for her understanding and willingness to work with patients.

Waited five months for an appointment then doctor cancelled. The staff then rudely tell us the only other available date is four months out. American healthcare in general is in distress. Penn and UPMC are gobbling up small providers and now have a near monopoly.

Pain management doctor cancels appointment a day before scheduled time which was for April 19.(no big deal) I had been waiting for about a month for this appointment, but I return their call to reschedule and I was informed that the next available opening to see Dr. Gordon wasn't till mid-July. That isn't acceptable patient care. I asked to see another pain management specialist, but unfortunately that doctors availability on Monday April 22 conflicted with a previous scheduled medical appointment. No help from the Penn State Camp Hill office staff and the lady I spoke to was frustrated with me towards the end of our conversation with the attempts to reschedule and possibly to schedule an appointment with the Hershey location. I just gave up. Terrible patient service.

Agree with the people saying zero stars. The nurse and reception were kind but what a nightmare. People waiting everywhere and technology not working. I literally had to wait 6 months for this appointment with Dr. Fields pediatrics GI. We waiting OVER an hour with a baby and 6 year old who both ended up in tears since we had sat there so long. Doctor was very impersonal and literally gave me no new advice that I hadn’t already heard from my pediatrician, it is so incredibly rude to make patients wait this long and communicates that my time is less valuable than yours. What a horrible experience. Do better.

I moved to the area midway through my second pregnancy after receiving amazing care at a provider in my previous city. During intake the nurse I spoke to at this practice was amazing. She went through my medical history and previous pregnancy, explained all the resources available at this practice, and made me feel comfortable about my past history with extreme PPD. I felt confident I was going to have good care at this practice.
Well, my good care started and ended with that phone call. The providers I saw never checked in on my personal care, only how the baby was presenting during testing (as if the two aren’t related?). One of the first tests I took was the glucose test. I did not pass it and knew this before the appointment to discuss my results.
During my visit with Karen Pistilli and a student nurse from the local college, she informed me that my results from the glucose test were normal and I passed. Knowing that was wrong, I asked her at what level would my results qualify for failing the test. She left the room, checked my results, and came back saying “oh you actually failed the test.” Well thank goodness I had already looked at my results!
The care continued to declined as I needed three ultrasounds for them to see all the parts of my baby, which is not unusual. The problem is that I spent $2400 for these ultrasounds and couldn’t pay for more tests. When I informed them that I couldn’t keep doing the ultrasounds for fetal growth due to the cost, they scolded me for not complying with their recommendations and attempted to scare me into compliance by stating that I would need a c-section at 39 weeks because my baby would either be stillborn or too large to birth naturally. This attitude reinforced the idea that they didn’t see me as a human being, but rather as a vessel to bring a baby into the world.
My favorite part? I reviewed my notes after a random doctor delivered my son at Hershey (that’s right, the practice I picked that delivered at Hershey had no one on staff during my delivery), and I saw that the doctor actually noted at my last appointment “patient is agitated, received care late in her pregnancy (I moved from a city where I was getting care!), did not notice her history of PPD, will request nurse to discuss at her next appointment.” So after being with your practice for 19 weeks, you are only now noticing my PPD which affects women BEFORE pregnancy as well? You probably would notice patients’ test results and previous medical history if you reviewed it instead of trying to cover yourself from lawsuits by trashing your patients in their file.
I would not recommend this practice. Never. Ever.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Sarah Curtis did an ultrasound and told me I was having a regular miscarriage when she didn't even see a fetus and did not bother to do a e&d. She was eager to get to her vacation so much so that she completely neglected her duties. I called for 2½ months and complained about the non-stop bleeding and pain, however WAS IGNORED and told it was normal for 2½months! My tube exploded at home and I bled out for another 3DAYS! thankfully a doctor with common sense noticed it on my file and called me to the ER Immediately! Ifor almost 3 months I had an ectopic pregnancy because Sarah is neglectful and lacks the common sense to do her job successfully. DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE WITH YOUR CARE!!!!!

I love my doctor here but calling in on the phone is terrible. The reps that answer the phone in the scheduling department seriously need to work on their attitude and customer service skills. It's very simple to get a job somewhere else where you may be happier. Some of them are just flat-out rude and inconsiderate that people are in need or sick so the last thing we need when contacting our doctor's office doctor is being disrespected.
