Dale was wonderful to work with! He and his team at Kaplan's were all great and did a wonderful job fixing some alteration/fit concerns that I had. I worked with Dale regarding my J.Hilburn suit as well, and he and the team did a great job getting the suit fit well to my frame. Place has really been backsliding over the years. Alterations are not carefully measured or executed. Shirts are very poorly pressed. General attitude of management is “take it or leave it.” Dale tries his best but his people, including his daughter, are letting him down.

Kaplan’s has repaired diaper bags and purses as well as hemmed jeans and repaired other clothing for me. I would recommend them to anyone. Great customer service!

We took our Mr. and Mrs. Claus costumes in to be dry cleaner and a snap added to the Santa costume. We heard how they use to have a big business in renting out Santa costumes and other seasonal costumes. Since they had experience, we felt safe in leaving ours. There were no stains, but with Covid we wanted them cleaned. They were in garment bags when we picked them up, so just paid, took them home and hung them up. A few weeks later we open them up and we're shocked to see how pink our fur was on both costumes! When we took it back to ask about it, we were told how much better it looked from their first cleaning and they had actually cleaned it three times to get the pink out! We weren't told it could happen, only about all the suits they had cleaned and rented! No apology or refund for cleaning. We replaced my husband's suit because we couldn't stand the pink and did my suit this year. Unfortunately my new dress, while it looks similar, is not as nice as my first one. $600 later we have non- pink suits! It was certainly an expensive cleaning - sigh.

I had used this business for suit alterations after I had previously used another local business, and was very unsatisfied with the results. I took my suit here, and they were immediately able to tell me what they could do to fix it. The alterations were done within a timely manner, and I'm extremely happy with the way it all turned out. NOT SO CAREFUL. With the excellent Hampden Cleaners going out of business, I've used this clearer twice and won't go back. First time I brought in a dozen shirts. One came back with a broken button, which they fixed. Second time I bought in six shirts including one brand new just out of the package I had to return two for a poor job in pressing. The third shirt, the new one, had a stain on the cuff which was not there when I brought it in. They claimed they couldn't have done it and were very rude about it "what do you think.. we eat in the back".Well fine. 250 work days a year. Clean shirt each day. 3 bucks a shirt. Plus suits. I'll take my $1K of annual business someplace else and recommend you consider doing the same.

I needed a mother of the bride dress altered and the staff at Kaplan's couldn't have been nicer to me. The dress was a little hard to fit but they never gave up trying to make it right, make me happy, and have me be at my best on a very special day. Mr. Kaplan was absolutely outstanding.I needed very specific measurements for an outfit being made in India. He was so thorough and patient. I was able to come in without an appointment and he really took his time doing the measurements to ensure they were just what I needed. He made me feel so comfortable and had an uncanny sense of humor.I also got measurements done for a bridesmaid dress from Azazie.I will definitely be going back in the future for more custom fittings (and to get these gorgeous, detailed outfits cleaned!)Highly recommend!

Kaplan’s saves me time and makes me look good. They offer the best tailoring service I ever had in my life because they take the time to ask what I want altered before & during the fitting process. Their experienced and very through. They offer great fabric companies to choose from if you want to make a new custom shirt, suit, etc. The dry cleaning, shoe repair and fabric repair always exceed my expectations. I highly recommend them!

Kaplan's tailored my wedding dress and I could not be any happier with how it turned out. I wanted to add bow-tie sleeves, a corset, a thigh slit, alter the hem, add a shadow train, cups removed and new ones put in. Not only did they deliver, they exceeded my expectations. I had three fast fashion maxi dresses hemmed. Mr. Kaplan is very nice and explained what he was doing as he marked the dresses. They were steamed and wrinkle free when I picked them up, the hems are perfectly stitched, and now I have dresses that actually fit me! Would recommend!Service: Alterations
