If you are African American or a muslim I advise you to stay clear of this hospital, this is the most racist hospital I have ever been to, I arrived to their ER at 9:30 am and have been refused treatment, looked down on, and down right ignored, by 3pm I had still not been seen, checked on, offered a gown, I had blood running down my leg and asked several nurses for gauze and assistance and was refused, i asked a staff member (triage nurse) for his name and he told me no and he has nothing to do with me, I absolutely feel and believe that it was due to my brown skin and my hijab. (even the priest walked by me with a look of discuss) worst hospital, I'd rather go home and take my last breath before returning to that place!!

I was admitted to Holy Spirit on 3-9-24 after suffering a heart attack. The care I received from the paramedics, the emergency room staff, doctors, nurses, imaging, room service, and right up to the young man that brought me downstairs in the wheelchair upon discharge was nothing short of phenomenal. I was absolutely amazed how well I was treated, everything I was going through, all the procedures and test were explained in great detail, all my questions were answered and the staff had me at a level of comfort that I truly didn't expect. I wish I could mention everybody by name but my memory wont allow it, but there are 2 nurses that need to be mentioned, Freida who worked the 7th floor on 3-9 and 3-10 and Rebecca who worked the 3rd floor on 3-11. Their professionalism, care, humor, knowledge and willingness to make sure I was relaxed, pain free, informed and content was amazing. The two of you are a credit to your profession and I thank you for making a difficult situation easier for me. Thanks to all.Ray Creighton

Worst experience I ever had called 911 because I couldn’t breathe and feel like I was having a heart attack I called 911 and told them I couldn’t breathe 911 told me that help is on the way and to stay in one spot and not to move and that the paramedics where going to come inside my home to assist me 911 waited on the phone with me until the ems got there the ems refuse to come inside my home instead I had to get up while feeling like I’m having a heart attack and walk outside to the ambulance and risk my life and process they decided because the color of my skin, but they did not want to This is despicable activity racist, unacceptable and downright dirty and disgusting I will be reaching out to the news station in the morning to express the situation and on my social media for exposure to the hospital for what has been done. I should not be considered less than because the color of my skin and I will not accept it from anybody. I will not be judged. The only one that can judge me is God and trust and believe when I say, when the Lord says Vengeance is mine that’s exactly what he means I urge and beg anybody that may be in critical condition or feel that they’re having cardiac arrest. Please don’t rely on this EMS system at Holy Spirit hospital because it just might cost you your life. Jeff coder is the EMS paramedic that refused to come in my home and his assistant acted as if they didn’t even care this is pathetic and they should be sorry. This is supposed to be a hospital paramedic system, and even after when I called in to complain, they gave me a police officer number, and when I called him, he told me he don’t know why they gave me his number smdh i will be reaching out to corporate in the morning . This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with the EMS system in my life and I would never rely them for my well-being because I know they won’t come through and I won’t change my life again you will hear from me very soon deuces………….

How to give 0 star? 5 hours in wait room after registered my wife, from 5 to 10:30pm. They don't care about you. Talk to the nurse, she don't even know when the doctor will arrive. Just left and tell her i will never come back again. I blame myself to don't pay attention to the previous reviews.

Excellent medical treatment from a caring and professional staff! A family member recently had a total knee replacement surgery performed by Dr. Kim at Holy Spirit Hospital. The successful surgery was followed by a two night stay at the main hospital. We were very happy with the quality of care my family member received and the attentiveness of the entire staff, including not only the surgeon but also the RNs and PTs. Thank you for such a positive experience!

890 Poplar Church Rd Med Arts Building may be guilty of violating the ADA in their failure to adequately clear the snow from the path leading to the main entrance. The designated row of handicapped parking spaces, around 12 and the usual path to the door were blocked all the way down the entire row with a pile of snow! No Walker, wheelchair, electric scooter or chair could have navigated through this pile of snow! It created an impossible and dangerous situation for mobility impaired visitors to this location. It was a snowy, slippery wet mess for non-disabled visitors! Even the lot crosswalk entrance was blocked by snow! This is absolutely unacceptable! Maybe a fine would prioritize safety for people with disabilities? This requires clearance with shovels! DO BETTER! THE LAW REQUIRES IT!

Going to Holyspirit Hospital you can expect to die. The hospital is responsible for my father's death due to the hospitals errors and mistakes the respiratory therapist made removing my father's bronchial bypass from his face with no type of assisted breathing put in place. The hospital ignored my father's request for cpr eventhough my father being of sound mind to make his own medical decisions. The nurse on the ward even stated to the respiratory therapist that he was not to have the bronchial bypass oxygen sensor removed from my fathers face. The respiratory therapist didnt know how to and was unable to reattach the bronchial bypass to my fathers face. The bronchial bypass was never reattached nor any other type of assisted breathing was put in place. No cpr was administered when my father requested cpr hours earlier that day. My father passed away as a direct result because of the removing of the bronchial bypass. I witnessed all the events previously stated and will never step foot in that hospital again. I filed a complaint and give them absolutely zero stars for a rating.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The patient was neglected and got pressure sores. Pressure sore prevention is not difficult and they clearly did not pay attention to the patient. And, they lost his walker. The response was, "just buy a new one." Poor communication with family members, total disconnect between doctors and other clinical staff regarding diagnoses and care plans. Avoid this hospital if you can.
