Went there for an early evening dinner. The dinning area is very stark, without any ambiance, located at the back of the building, and didn't even have any music....just noise from the bar. We didn't try the bar but it seemed it may be the attraction.

Went for my daughter’s rehearsal dinner. The staff were rude and when I asked for something to drink they said we don’t have that and walked away. Buffet was cold. Staff helped them selfs to our food.

We arrived to the Brickhouse with a party of 21 adults and kids for a Birthday Party that was reserved in advance. We were greeted with confusion and panic. The reservation was for the game room area. The very young wait staff unwillingly attempted to accommodate us in a back room of the place. The mix up was totally not his fault, but he didn’t have the friendliest demeanor while addressing us. We made due and would have been just fine where they put us in the back had the rest of the evening went smoothly.-We arrived at 6:45p for a reservation time of 7-9. We were finally sat and organized no later than 7:30. While they have this very beautiful drink menu on the wall in the room, it appeared they actually did not have any of the drinks on that menu. We all got drinks in waves.-While ordering food, a lot of the entrees on the menu were also unavailable. The menu states that upon request, there is a kids menu, which there was not. We all eventually compromised and got our orders in.-It was very difficult to get refills for the group while we waited despite asking multiple times.-Half of the appetizers that were ordered were not brought out. After everyone else got theirs, they inform us they didn’t have that specific appetizer.-Around 8:30 they brought out about 6/21 meals ordered.-At 9:15, the waiter comes out to our group and explains that, now that the kitchen is closed (they close at 9), a good majority of the meals we ordered, at approximately 7:30, were now not able to be made.-The owner shows up to, what we thought would be assist with the situation, however he indeed was absolutely belligerent with our group. He threatened us, scared the children, and did absolutely nothing to attempt to rectify the situation.-After being there for over 3 hours, we left with some people in our group, INCLUDING CHILDREN, not having gotten their meals at all..10/10 would not recommend!!!

We came in for a reservation for a birthday party. It appears that we were doubled booked at that time. The employees said they were unaware of the reservation. They did the best they could given the situation, which was stressful for them. 2 hours later after putting in our orders, we were told that due to the kitchen being closed some of the items ordered couldn’t be made. We made adjustments where we could and made do. The owner came in after that happened and caused a scene, made threats etc. Had he of came in an apologize for dropping the ball. We would have paid for the services we did receive and leave. Accepted the loss. All the extras from the owner were not needed and in poor judgment.

The staff here is awesome, and they used to have an awesome menu. But ever since Covid, the menu keeps shrinking and so does the staff. It makes me sad because the people are so nice but it’s clear the business is struggling.Parking: Street parking is free in the evening. Sometimes you have to walk a bit.

We had heard great things about the crab cakes. I didn't care for them at all. But my hamburger & fries were pretty good.The front of the building is the sports bar area which is also a smoking area. So we ate in the back which is like a banquet room. Just a it strange. We often felt forgotten by our server as we were the only ones back there.

Butler Pennsylvania is a small gem in the Great Lakes rust belt area, a bit off the beaten path from the lakes, but discovering it yielded a wearily aged town that once was the birthplace and home of the original US ARMY Jeep, but has started to make a comeback as a haven for the arts and the next generation.The Brick House is no exception, rather it exemplifies the soul of this town. The outside of it was a mystery, as the winding entrails of the business seemingly takes up three connectedBuildings in order to entertain large parties be it a wedding or family reunion. The West Family reunion was in progress when we showed up, but we never even heard them until we walked around the block.That’s the confusing thing: it’s like someone hiding multiple personalities they are ashamed of, but secretly prideful of too. There is no trace of the other parts of the Brick House until it actually affects you—like when you order food and it takes a long time because the reunion catering is unveiled at the same time.At first the outside was perfect. Mild balmy weather, Simone’s song drifting from around the corner, and then you enter. It smells like smoked cigars and ash. Not entirely bad. It took a while to be seated because it was EMPTY. The bar room looked cool though. We ended up sitting in the game room, a room full of pool tables and half broken down games. Despite the reminder of Butler’s plight being echoed in the game room, we were comfortable. The server who was taking care of us was also helping with the reunion. He was awesome and cool. Love the guy. We ordered the crab cakes, jambalaya, hot dog, kids quesadilla, and grilled chicken. The kids items were surprisingly good! Our picky kids ate them up to our surprise. The crab cakes were fresh and used only claw meat and were HUGE! Super tasty too. The Jambalaya was out of this world! This far north and a Jambalaya like this exists! What a find! The andouille sausage was authentic and the shrimp was plump and cooked perfectly. The rice was perfection as well. The chicken was juicy and plump too! Overall the Jambalaya was a masterpiece. The executive chef came out to see us, and he is one cool dude who is proud of his food—and it shows.The soul of Butler is a new resurgence of art and elevating life in the rust belt tucked away in the hills of Pennsylvania, and the Brick House is an oasis of culinary delight that echoes it’s home perfectly.The next day, I am still mentally savoring that Jambalaya and the crab cakes. It was worth the wait and confusion due to the layout. Give this place a try, you will be confused, amused, and later delighted.Vegetarian options: There are dishes that start out vegetarian but can haveEat added to them. The pesto is one of them that looked inviting.

The bartender is absolutely terrible. We received better service from the cook. I gave part of the tip to the cook for this reason and it offended the bartender so much next time we went in on his shift he said we were not welcome there. The food is very good but if your waiting for the bartender to serve you, you will have to wait til he is done talking with his friends.

You have to pay for games when reserving. Little hard to make reservations. Food was really good though.

They close to early and the mixed drinks were not very good. It is an ok spot if you are just looking to play some pool/arcade games and have a beer.
