My family has been using mars bank for 4 generations. I can remember when I was a kid getting my first car loan, my dad taking me down to the mars branch and meeting with the guy he used for years. He took the time to explain to a young man how loans work and the importance of not missing a payment and building credit. Now, my kids are building their credit with Mars, although with the Penn office. There is something about a local bank, and, for me personally, the history we have had with them as a family.

Love the bank. Only problems are when the app is down you have to reset the password and if you have less then 500.00 in your account you get charged a 5.00 fee.

Online banking was down for 4 days, when it came back up, passwords had been reset & we got locked out of our account. When we got back in, we were charged $4 insufficient funds, although there was over $5000 in the account. They were also unwilling to help us with a business loan (million dollar/year business & we have near perfect credit). We closed our account & switched to First Commonwealth.

Nice home town bank. They are a little bit behind on technology, but very secure.
